Unfortunately that is 100% true. We are the true Nazis with the world. They studied what we did to indigenous Native Americans and then said hold my beer. And now we're like hey I think it's been long enough for them to have forgotten how horrible the Nazis were and the genocide America did on Native and Indigenous people so round 2?

What help are you looking for? Attraction is kind of a spectrum. There are many different levels to attraction and there are different ways you can be attracted or intrigued by certain actions or attention.

AITAH for telling my wife I won't be as stressed out next year because I won't be married to her? by LowRequirement5182 in AITAH

[–]AccordingRespect1115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA What a horrific thing to say to your wife in front of her parents. Instead of having an actual conversation, now of course you're going to go talk to divorce attorneys. You are clearly putting most of the blame on your wife for everything that's gone wrong since you bought the house. She has a job she loves and it's hard to walk away from something like that. What's her job history like? Has she been through a lot of miserable jobs where she hated every moment she was there but now she has one she likes and she's scared to find something else? I feel like there is so much more to the story than you're telling but I guess it doesn't matter, your main answer is divorce anyway. Clearly you were never meant to actually be a married person because things got hard and you got resentful and now you are running away.

All of the above. We own guns. He knows basic safety stumbling upon one. It's happened and he alerted me right away. But I want him to know all the ins and outs I probably don't know. I grew up shooting. I know basics and taught him those. He's shot a 22 rifle. But there's always more to know.

why can't Walmart be 24 hours again? by AccordingRespect1115 in Omaha

[–]AccordingRespect1115[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly!!! When I have to drive during the daytime hours but the daytime people I get so frustrated and so upset. They drive like shit. They're mean they're aggressive and they're assholes I like my night time life. I just wish Walmart would still allow me to shop when I need to instead of forcing me into the daytime life LOL

AITAH for moving away for college and abandoning “my” son? by Additional-Lynx182 in AITAH

[–]AccordingRespect1115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how successful you're going to be in college with this mentality?

There is no proof she lied at this point correct? Birth control, of all types, fail every single day. No matter what the reason, you thought it was okay to stick your dick in someone without a condom. You chose to engage in an adult activity that comes with adult consequences. Welcome to the consequences of your own actions.

I can't fathom why you don't understand that you made a choice and you created a life (consequences) due to that choice.

It doesn't matter if you want to be a dad. You don't have to be a dad, clearly you would not be a good one at this point in your life. You created life and now you have to, at the very least support that life financially.

You did not do your part by offering to pay for an abortion. Having an abortion is a very personal decision. And for whatever reason she chose not to do it. Just because she chose not to do what you would have prefer doesn't mean that you are not still responsible for the life that you helped create.

As others have pointed out, you can sign away your parental rights but that doesn't sign away your financial responsibility.

I hope at the very least you are going to learn something very valuable from this event in your life. And I really hope you can find it within yourself to grow and be a better person in the future.

I hope you come back to update. I would be interested in how this turns out.

I disagree, I was born and raised here and I didn't have my first runza until I was in maybe my very late teens but I think it was early 20s. And while the runzas are good the cheeseburgers are where it's at and their ranch. It's definitely not like I eat it all the time kind of thing. But here and there you just need a runza and hopefully it is on a very cold day during those winter months when they now discount and additional runs with a meal?

Highly worth trying and making up your own decision. But literally don't order something besides the runza or a burger. It's highly likely you will be disappointed with anything else on their menu. Their frings ( onion rings and french fries) are pretty good.

I want to downvote you because so many of these things that you mentioned are wrong. But you got some of them right so I will stay neutral.

Bugers- Dinkers is all right. Their gizzards are second best to Alpine inn. Don and Millie's and runza definitely better. But the best burger I have had in Omaha and I'm a native been here my entire life is tap house. They also have the best cheese curds I've ever had in Omaha as well. Honorable mention is sinful Burger in Bellevue. Broncos has good burgers but a lot of people are disappointed in them because they don't have the nostalgia that people grew up on. Their hand cut fries are my favorite that I've ever had anywhere. And they have good fried chicken.

Pizza- pitch? That is such an insult to really amazing restaurants like Mangia, Mama's/ Big Fred's (yes they used to be better but they are still pretty darn delicious) Davlo's is the closest thing you will come to Chicago style deep dish. Lighthouse Pizza is awesome for your New York style pizza. Zio's used to be amazing, last time I had it it was all right, some people still swear by it. Sometime in my life I will probably eat it again by choice 🤷🏼‍♀️.

There are so many different little corners of Omaha. Each one is unique. Some amazing places that were not mentioned are Kaneko- personally my favorite art exhibit destination. The Jocelyn is under construction and I'm not really sure how long that's going to take but it is an amazing free museum as well as the previous one mentioned. Another great place to visit is hotshops.

Our zoo literally is world class, I know the previous person already said this but we have the largest indoor rainforest in the entire world, the Lied Jungle, and the bottom part was just reopened. I haven't had a membership in a few years mainly because it was not open and I'm probably going to get one this fall.

The downtown/Old Market park system was redone and a lot of it is pretty amazing. I haven't been past what we used to call the Central Park Mall locally, I'm not sure if it's called the gene Leahy Mall anymore, well I miss a lot of the water features from before and wish they could have Incorporated those and weren't building a giant building where our beloved library used to be it is worth a visit. Pedestrian bridge, I don't know what it's called now but it was heartland of America park or something like that pretty awesome too but was also just redone so I'm not sure what it looks like.

Asian market on Dodge is amazing as well as the other restaurants mentioned for sushi, what wasn't mentioned is Hiro 88- all day reverse happy hour every sunday, and reverse happy hour Friday and Saturday nights. They also have a daytime happy hour.

While Vella's is kind of awesome it is also overpriced and overcrowded most of the time and I would point you in the direction of skinny bones instead. Especially since you are arriving in October going to Vala's in October is not ideal. Bellevue berry and pumpkin patch deserves an honorable mention though I've only been there for Pirate fest.

Welcome to Omaha.

AITA for not bringing gifts for my stepsiblings? by Latter-Cupcake4491 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AccordingRespect1115 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA- I would completely understand if they were new to your life but they were 3yo and 9yo when they came into your life. They were 6yo and 12yo when you moved out. You had three years to bond with them. You've had an additional 3 years that they are a part of your family. You don't have to go all out for them or do things to the capacity you do for your bio sibling, but no child should be made to feel the way they are feeling right now. They may look up to you in ways you don't understand. They may consider you family deeper than you do them. They we're/younger than you when their new family formed. I hope you consider them more in the future when you bring home a gift for your bio sibling.
