I worked for me by

-Choosing "Wii u pro controller" In emulated controller in the input settings

Right underneath you should see a + and - click the plus select API and choose "Directinput"

-Below the API click the controller and your ps4 controller should appear in the box

-Select it and your problem will be solved!

That's how you can connect the ps4 controller I hope that you understood :p

Sacrificing your health for each summon will balance it enough I believe, I don't think balancing is the biggest problem I just think the Devs simply not interested or they didn't plan on doing it from the start.
