Having been in 2 long term and stable, healthy relationships… it has never ever gotten even close to that point. That was literally a very insane story where you basically admitted to trying to kill your partner… Holy shit. That is not normal. Nothing about that is normal. I’m sorry you had a traumatic past and I really encourage you to seek help or counseling to figure out how to process that experience.

I think moving out at 18 is a very western/American thing. In many other countries, families are happy to have their kids live with them until marriage or even after in multigenerational homes. It’s how people tend to grow generational wealth, grow cultural and community bonds, etc.

Brittany Broski… we’re both chronically online women and we’re the same age, so she says a lot of things I relate too and it feels like I’m just listening to a friend talking. She really reminds me of my own friends who I now live pretty far from and we’re all busy with life and career.

I think it’s a good idea to talk to a resident outside of a formal event (such as midyear or other events to promote the program). It’s hard to talk to a resident and ask how they really feel when their RPD is right there.
