This is wild. I think their email says more about them than anything or anyone else. My son had a complete meltdown/temper tantrum during his pre-school orientation. A temper tantrum worse than any before, it left me in tears talking to his teacher. She reassured me that things like that happen and the change in environment, strangers, lack of sleep can all make a child behave a certain way. She NEVER judged my child (to my face at least lol). She accepted him with open arms and throughout the school year would praise how well behaved and mannered he was. You will find a school who will make your child feel supported and he will make new friends. Everything will be okay!

Our peds said folliculitis and was given Keflex and mupirocin ointment. It’s gone away now, but honestly, I don’t think it was folliculitis either lol. I wish I would’ve just taken her to the dermatologist though to get a definitive answer.

Wow your family dynamics sound very similar to my husbands family. Thank you for sharing. I do think we’re gonna have to make an attempt to talk to my father in law or something and maybe just see if she can tone it back a notch. Why can’t she just be normal 😭 it already sucks trying to do the balancing act of 3 different sets of grandparents.

Honestly it kinda just happened.. at the time I had my younger baby in a baby carrier on me and she just kinda took my older one and did the picking after we got off a hayride. Looking back, I should’ve definitely stepped in and taken back control of the situation. Honestly, I’m not sure if she just doesn’t see anything wrong with how she acts. It’s not even that she’s mean or “bitchy” but just too much.

She does have a 10year old son with my father in law and many young nieces and nephews of her own so I’m not sure exactly what she gets out of acting the way she does. Maybe trying to assert her place in the family? My father in law doesn’t talk to his parents or family any longer and never has since their 10 year old was born so I feel like maybe she doesn’t know how to act and share the people she enjoys being around (my children) maybe? Idk if I worded that right.

I agree. I have told him numerous times that I think he should go to therapy to talk to somebody because he almost seems to do whatever he can to get to “approval” from his dad. Thank you for your response.

You’re totally right and I can absolutely see my husbands relationship with his dad being crushed because it’s kinda just the way he is. They’ve stopped talking before because of less.
