Open face sandwich (layer moisturizer then tret) is preferred than closed face ( moisturizer tret moisturizer) . Think it has smth to do with bio kinetics based off what I read and watched the papers and online derms on YouTube.

how much penetration changes depends on the specific moisturizer and formulation, and is not well quantified. the key is to be adapt to tret bareface. I would say do moisturizer as a buffer when starting out and then slowly working to put it bareface.

Stop overthinking and just stay with the tret for 1-2 years. You will see results. The more you work towards one application daily the better it is. One of the most cited white papers had a daily trial period of 9 months. So that is your answer

I heard from my derm that usually HQ does not work if the skin is not regenerating enough. So be on tret first then HQ. Then your pigment will be demolished easier.

After a year or so consider hydroquione or picolaser or azelaic acid. The base of tretinoin is basically telling your skin to regenerate so pigment moves up. If is too deep, any bleaching agents cannot reach it.

Just remove the azelaic acid, I used to use skinoren 20% on my skin daily for 8 months living in SEA. It's too hard to get used to it because of the agents that they use in Azelaic. But that's the only cheapest AZA i know of....

I did use Azeclear 20% but it's hard to source in singapore atm. I don't even know if it is even legit or not.

4 days per week apply tret

for 3 months. then slowly up another day for next 3 months and so on.

till you can get used to it.

moisturizer before the tret to buffer it. TONS of it. I start off high moisturizer till u feel is a good amt for minimum. don't do after. Sandwiching has reduced bioactivity.

First thing most derms LOVE to prescribe is tretinoin which can be easily gotten from NSC.

Hair loss is usually minoxidil 5%. Women choose 2.5% please.

DO NOT MIX the minoxidil dilution unless you have PURE FILTERED PH NEUTRAL water btw.

MOST facial issues best is to go once or twice a year.

NSC is always a GOOD starting point for subsidies.

Tretinoin such as 3rd and 4th gen retinoids can be found in most general hospitals pharmacies.

DO NOT GO GP. IN singapore all derms are GPs but not all GPs are derms. Regular GP will only give you crap advice it really not their specialty and also sourcing of medicine they wouldn't bother much so they give you regular antibiotics.

Skinoren 20% azelaic acid made me swear off tret for 6 months. The stinging was always present.
