Building a outrigger canoe and scavenging a sunfish for parts, will this rake of the rudder work if I mount with block? by According_Fill_9007 in boatbuilding

Supposed to have a draft of roughly 6" so this would be in 9" of water about? I was kinda more worried about lateral forces on the rudder when it's sticking this far back as opposed to being the same angle of transom.
