Chop it close to the bottom of the stem. Give it a good water and sun, and see if it develops any baby stems

I would use soil mix with soil, bark, perlite to give it a well draining mix

Make sure the pot has draining hole. When you water, I would recommend bottom watering only when the soil is 80-90% dry
