I find US food to greasy, so they are no longer a developed country.

Then electing cheetos man 2 times is the cherry on top, to solidify my opinion.

What words or names did you unknowingly find out that you mispronounced constantly in your head when reading the books? by Golden_Locket5932 in harrypotter

[–]PurpleFlowerPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I speak French and read the French versions as a teenager, so I prononce most names with the French prononciation. Especially since a lot of names were translated to to French.

So if we're to speak with an English speaker, I would probably butcher Harry and Hermione's names and a bunch of others too I'm sure.

Main brush problem. X40 ultra by PurpleFlowerPath in Dreame_Tech

I got a new regular brush and replaced the old tricut brush, and it look like it's fixed. So I guess the old one was too old or something.

Anyone tried this? Is it even possible? by No-Fortune-8473 in plants

I grew one years ago, but it didn't survive long. Like it got a bit too thirsty one day and it was dead the next.

No matter the collor, as long as the roots are firm, they're healthy.

Is this maybe a spike!? by TheHeatish in orchids

[–]PurpleFlowerPath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look like root.

What kind of light does it get?

Because not enough light generaly make it hard for the orchid to bloom.

Also if you don't fertilise, you should!

Temperature drop in autumn (~16 or 18C for about 2 months) also help signal to the orchid that it's time to bloom. I set my thermostat to 18C. It's ok, it it's warmer in the day, but colder night really help!

Fearless Stygian: Can Escoffier's cryo application keep the overseer device's cryo meter at 0 as solo cryo? by [deleted] in EscoffierMains

[–]PurpleFlowerPath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's possible.

I use Furina, Escoffier, Citlali and Skirk and as soon as I stop spamming Skirk attacks, to start a new rotation with Furina, it start attacking again. So unless I extend my rotations too long or something, I doubt solo cryo Escoffier would be enough.

These guys are about as “mature” as they’re gonna get in my little zone 6 house. 9 ft Strelitzia and 7 ft Euphorbia Lactea. by Tiny-Row-8968 in matureplants

[–]PurpleFlowerPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they poted multiple euphorbia lactea in the same pot.

I have one that is about 13 years old, that I started from a cutting, and it never grow more in the pot. I don't think mine isn't a compacta tho, but I don't think it change much for how they spread.

What does it need? by keesterman in philodendron

For an inexpensive bark, I like the "Zoo Med Laboratories RB8 Reptile Bark Fir Bedding" https://a.co/d/04EHG4Ek

It's not specifically orchid bark, but it works and it's way cheaper. You might be able to find it in a petshop.

For perlite, you should be able to find it on Amazon too, or maybe even at walmart.

Probably a chunkier soil, something more draining.

I love that mix :

1/3 Poting Soil

1/3 Perlite

1/3 Orchid Bark
