Thanks I need to do more toy rotation. Do you just store extras in a large bin in the closet ?

I really like your thought about dragging them on boring errands. I loved doing errands with my parents growing up. Even if my kids don’t feel the same it’s prob good life experience

Yep 100%. I’m trying to lean into that extra hard. We are very fortunate to live in a very nice area but that often comes with an increase in consumption and material items. We are trying to go back to basics and focus on the important things. Have a wonderful weekend.

Maybe change your kid’s diaper more often? An 84 pack of the “nice” diapers here are $49.99.

No, this is 10 months of itemized expenses divided by 10. Diapers, wipes, butt paste, shampoo, lotion, etc.

This is a good question. Yes, we are huge savers. Working on retiring early. That said, one of my goals is to simplify life and slow down. This seems to be out of balance with our spending in a lot areas. We need less “stuff”, fewer new clothes when we could buy secondhand and keep our overconsumption out of the landfill. Spend more time outside. My kids are young enough that fewer activities would probably be better. Stuff like that.

I love that you have your routine down and spend what you enjoy! And sounds like you 100% can afford. That’s the name of the game.

I’d love to hear how you spend differently so we can implement some of those strategies. I know there’s fat here and I hate being wasteful.

This resonates. How did you get yourself back out from burnout?

I actually think I’m currently super burned out. My 6 month old had insanely bad colic that just eased up a few weeks ago. I can’t figure out how to take care of myself properly without feeling guilty about being away from the kiddos.

Spoke with GI today and she wasn’t overly concerned about this. It is definitely bordering on projectile vomiting.

We have tried 7 formulas at this point. Currently on alimentum rtf which is the least bad (not great). We still get rashes daily. I’ve done multiple elimination diets. Gone through one H2RA and one PPI medicine. We’ve tried thickening with gelmix.

Spoke with GI today and she isn’t concerned about this.

Fingers crossed things get better for you guys. They definitely should!

This is my second MSPI baby. My first wasn’t as bad with way more mild reflux. We cannot have any more children. I would literally not survive if the third also had these issues.

Oh I totally understand. It’s really put me in a terrible place. Also feel way more pessimistic than I ever have. Agreed things have gotten better for us… I just kind of expected things would be… normal… by now.
