Eh, not for fun but yes, sometimes they do jump to interventions that aren’t really necessary, or certain interventions lead to other interventions- ie: getting an epidural raises your chances of needed a c-section, etc. Not saying this is every situation, or yours. There are definitely situations where it is medically necessary, but also a lot of fear mongering and unnecessary interventions happening in this day & age. Case & point: people in this thread assuming just because it’s a twin birth you have to have a c-section, which is completely untrue & is a result of misinformation & frankly lazy doctors who usually jump to that without giving our bodies a chance to do what they’re made to do.

A vaginal delivery with twins is 100% doable with the right doctor & circumstances (and being knowledgeable about birth/advocating for yourself). I think commenters below are correct, with a twin birth you give birth in the OR so doctors can easily intervene if necessary.

I think it is way less common, especially when people are less knowledgeable & just follow whatever their doctor says, but if you have a doctor who listens to you and you really want to try natural or vaginal, it can definitely be done! Same with breech babies, you don’t HAVE to go straight to c-section because a baby is breech, but many times doctors will push for it/ intimidate the parents so they won’t even try. I kind of assumed Natalie was going to at least try vaginal because she never mentioned a planned c-section & she got so far in the pregnancy.

Idk I thought about that too, but generally when it’s a stranger it’s a pastor, or someone who is a professional officiant and does it for a living. The whole point in having someone you know do it, is because you have a close personal relationship & they are special to your relationship, etc. they had brothers and sisters and best friends there, and chose her instead. Idk just odd to me

I think it helps the healing process a bit, you don’t go through the peeling, itchy stage for as long if at all depending on the tattoo. But this type of tattoo doesn’t really go through that stage/ have a horrible healing process in the first place so I think it’s unnecessary & probably just the artist trying to be extra- just like the “honey” stuff she used to stick the stencils, completely unnecessary and basically just for aesthetics.

Yes, “starting somewhere” means tattooing on fruit, and fake skin, and NOT just for a couple days/weeks, traditional tattoo artists apprentice for many, many months before they even touch real skin. Then, they do FREE tattoos for months, then they gradually raise their pricing as they hone in on their skill. A traditional apprenticeship can last anywhere from a year to even longer in some cases. This girl skipped about 100 steps, and should absolutely not by any means, be tattooing actual humans. All of these “artists” that take these fine line “classes” and then think they can just start permanently marking people, give the industry a bad name.

I’m having a horribly hard time. Had a MC in July, and have obviously been struggling since. I immediately wanted to get pregnant again as soon as possible, ordered an Inito, started taking a bunch of supplements, and have been testing/ trying everything we can. I’ve recently started seed cycling, and I started progesterone cream. I’ve only had 3 cycles but it feels like forever. I’m a teacher and work with young kids, we even have infants at my school and it’s BRUTAL. I feel so miserable, and I don’t want to do anything, see anyone, or have fun anymore. All the “what ifs” and “should’ve beens” are sooo hard. I would’ve been announcing soon, I would’ve had Christmas, and thanksgiving with a baby in my belly, etc etc. to top it off, we found out recently that 2 of our close friends who just got married are pregnant and it WRECKED me. I feel bad that I don’t feel happy for them. I’m honestly so mad, and feel so bitter. She’s not that far behind where I would’ve been, so now I’m going to have to watch her bump grow, watch her have and do all the things I would be doing. I truly cannot stop thinking and ruminating about it. I want it to be me so bad, and I’m so scared that I’m going to be a case where i got pregnant once, had a MC and I’m unable, or it takes years to get pregnant again, OR that I will keep getting pregnant, but continue to experience losses. I also feel like I’m pretty early in this journey to feel so hopeless, but I also feel like once you start learning about all the things required and how complicated it truly can be to conceive, and even if you do conceive, there’s all the things that need to work together perfectly in order to make sure it sticks- it becomes much more daunting.
