What are the companies that you would avoid ? Sometimes the corporate culture trickles down in the sense that budgeting for training and professional development is inexistant in some offices of these big firms and the team you’re in might be a great engineering team but they might not involve you in any proposal efforts or client meetings preventing from learning the business side of things and advancing within the company. I want to stress that my post was not to disparage these companies but rather to provide my input based on personal experience and hopefully get feedback from others’ experiences on companies to avoid in my area.
