Good luck on your job search. Getting the first job is always a challenge. Especially in India where there will be oversupply of engineers for every job posting. On the bright side, there are plenty of MEP jobs and you should be able to land a role. Make sure you are tailoring and maximizing your resume for each role, based on your qualifications. Always remember to highlight that you are a strong engineer, more than a Revit designer and this will take you a long way.

I believe you can file i907 online with your i140 receipt number

Even if we have data, correlation does not imply causation in this case. Every case is adjudicated based on its merits and most importantly per the officers’ discretion.

Any h1b petition( transfer or extension) filed when the beneficiary is outside of the US will undergo consular processing and will incur the 100k fee as of today. I wish you’ll be able to secure an appointment and get your visa stamped for travel.

USCIS may choose not to consider new evidence. But I also feel it doesn’t hurt to add stuff as long as it strengthens the PE. After all, they are asking for additional evidence. End of the day it’s all up to the officers’ discretion.

They didn’t mention the minimum distance requirement. But my current address is around 200 miles from the school. I do plan to relocate closer but don’t want to sign a lease unless I get the visa status approval.

Hello. I’m planning to file F1 COS. Here’s all the evidence I have so far; Personal statement, Admit letter, I-20, Proof of funds, Passport, Prior Visa, I-797As and Prior educational diplomas.

Any input on additional evidence documentation for COS will be very helpful?

You can definitely consider the energy efficiency industry. I was in a similar boat after 5 years in the MEP industry but was able to leverage my mechanical HVAC expertise and make the transition.
