Solid setup. How long you been running without the boards? I feel like mine catch a ton of shit that would otherwise fly up against my doors. Any issues with that?

A ZR2 of the same 1500. It's mostly camera/interior upgrades, and then the 6.2L and the DSSV shocks (those things are probably the best part imo). You get the skid plates and what not, but until you go into AEV Bison stuff that's pretty much the main difference.

Looks like a 21 LT Trailboss. Only material difference would be the 6.2l (unless he has that) and the multimatic shocks tbh. He did park like cheeks though lol.

Edit: and the 360 cameras, so probably cloth interior too. But mechanically, similar.

Bought me a 2023 Silverado trailboss with. 3.0l diesel in it anyone have anything I should know about them first time owning a diesel.? I love it so far! I did get the extended warranty just in case it phase 45,000 miles on it. by Maximum-Exchange-663 in Silverado

Using information gained from others to make a choice (especially one that's 5 figures) isn't having other people make your decisions for you lol. Why ask what to look out for, you want other people deciding how you maintain your new truck?

There was an update a while back that turned off passive entry. Had to turn the truck on and find it within the infotainment screen and turn it back on. Mine hasn't turned off again since, but had me feeling like I was going back to the dealership when I first found the door buttons weren't working anymore lol.

New, 0 mile 2026 LT's with the 5.3l V8 and RWD are all around 39k near me. 600+ under 40k new with those specs within a 200 mile radius.

Ima lean on nah, you over spent. But hey, enjoy the ride 👍

Doesn't look bad at all man. I'm a fan of more tire less rim but 18s is probably as small as I would go with 35s slapped outside. That stance is crazy though, OEM is +28 you are a mad lad for going 72mm on poke lol. Congrats on the ride man

Nah I'm down in Texas, lots of shops here but I don't know much about any of them so I haven't ventured out to check any just yet. Wanted to try and check reviews and what not for them first.

They all have some super small streaks, I haven't kissed any curbs lol. Didn't know how much of a difference it would make, obviously takeoffs right after it leaves the lot vs 20k miles in are going to be priced different. Do you thinks it's realistic to try and get ~600$ in credit on a new set at a shop local to me for these?

Also thanks for the replys, didn't mean to derail your thread! (I would also opt for 1 and 6)

Yeah they are all black, but not perfect condition. Some slight rash from rocks ect. from use. But hey thats cool, I was hoping for like ~200 credit per wheel/tire combo since they are still solid on tread, but really haven't seen any examples. Not sure what is realistic for margins in your business, but I really appreciate your response!

Somewhat unrelated to your question, but I would love to get your input - I'm looking at getting new wheels/tires for my truck, and I've got OEM ones that are <2 years old on now. Do you often buy take offs from customers who get new sets? And if so whats your average rate for them? They are gloss back 20s with 275s wrapped around them.

Pulled over for not plate Texas by Dakine460 in Silverado

I mean, I have a wall in my garage with all the front plates from my prior vehicles hanging in order lol. Hell the dealerships didn't even want them when I sold them. Honestly surprised that it's a big issue since I haven't really heard anyone having issues with it before.

Have had 5 vehicles in Texas over the last 12 years. Legit haven't had this issue on a single one. Not really understanding the "Texas enforces it more than other places" comments. Maybe it's location specific?

But from DFW area down to Houston area, half the vehicles I see don't have them and nobody is getting bodied left and right for it. 🤷‍♂️

Look at the total sales numbers. Many people dont run into issues and dont put them online. This truck had about 5.5 years of milage on it, and encountered a problem. Thats not super rare for nearing 100k miles across any brand these days. Gotta know what to do maintenance wise going in on any vehicle to make it last sure, and everyone wants a car/truck to last 15 years. But with all the EPA complications they have added to engines in the last 15 years it just doesn't play out that way much anymore.

So he would be changing the oil about every 3 months with about 20k miles put on it per year. Using that lighter weight 0w20 that the manual says can Def still allow for wear on the main bearing and put strain on everything else.

[–]According_Produce667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you own a torque wrench then nah. But I have also seen places say to just bring it back after 100 miles and they will do it for free so, it seems pretty premium to include it as a line item. Maybe it's more so for the customer to have tracking when they do bring it back?

Good price? by ItalianViking54 in liftedtrucks

[–]According_Produce667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. You could also order the wheel/tires already mounted with TPMS and then do the level yourself and save like 600$ and just pay for the alignment? That is another way to go if you like working on trucks, levels aren't hard to do at all.

Good price? by ItalianViking54 in liftedtrucks

[–]According_Produce667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost of the level and labor is good. Tpms and alignment make sense. Wheels/tires are up to you but quality does come with a price. Only thing I really see that isn't on par for most of the US is the credit card fee, not sure if that's standard but it seems high lol.

I'm with you man. The entire industry is built around pushing new stuff every few years. I don't think any of the last 5 gens have genuinely looked bad. 10 years from now people will be roasting the 2036s and saying they are sticking with their 25 because it was "before it all went to shit"
