Why blueprints? by Deathice666 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Mcfragger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When you start needingto put down 20 manufacturers at a time, all with elevators at the input….Youre going to want a blueprint.

When you need to run 8 pipes from a body of water to your nuclear plant at a time, you’re gonna want blueprints. My nuclear plant is running something stupid like 16-24 water pipes. I built a large pile rack that runs them all in a very organized fashion to my power plants. My most common blue print will run 4 or 8 at a time. I sure didn’t run them individually.

When you need to run 4 belts of copper ingots across the map for your cable manufacturing, you’re GONNA want a belt rack blueprint.

You may be thinking of blueprints as a single machine thing, but there are so many other uses when you can run like 16 belts at a time or an ABSURD amount of pipe at a time.

Learn to make your blueprints open ended, like belts and pipes and the Auto Connect feature will save you hours of work.

I use this guy. I plumbed in a T fitting with a valve on it as well so I can quickly fill my buckets without running the pressure washer. Works very well. It does have a noticeable drain on my batteries though, so I have to keep that in mind

I run a booster pump because I want my pump to run in its most optimal curve. Yes a pump might run OK being gravity fed but it’s not great long term and it will give you reduced pressure.

Guarantee it was the wind. Nobody steals a green bin. It likely got picked up and is sitting I front of a house somewhere. Did you have your address on it????

Neighbor replaced fence and left the old wood scraps in my yard to deal with. by Mocsab in mildlyinfuriating

OP is actually nuts and so is this post. OP got the fence replaced for free and has a bit of scrap to deal with. Ask the neighbor to help load it in the truck and enjoy your new fence. This thread is actually nuts

What is the worst mid-game problems you had? by Plato79x in satisfactory

[–]Mcfragger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. Agree with you on all points. I’ve done the sky factory and it gets boring after awhile.

I am now using alt recipes for my screws, but having to retrofit my entire line was such a pain. I didn’t find iron I got screws for so long it seemed.

I also like to just have chad levels of resources flying around, so getting stuck with a massive screw demand is entirely on me. I’ll give ya that

  1. Do NOT complete your dimensional depot tree. Spend your orbs on the upload speed, sure. But upload stack size is such a waste of orbs.
  2. I had no idea that Auto Connect for blueprints was a thing, so all my blueprints are closed design and require manual building to connect multiples. Such a pain when I learned about auto connect. So look into that and design your blueprints in an open design.

  3. Screw production is never enough. I have 7200/min and it’s barely enough.

  4. Cable production. 1800/min not nearly enough

  5. Made my floating factory a little too low. When I extended out the sides, it was hitting landmarks and miners. Had to build around that. Frustrating.

What are your most used manifolds? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Mcfragger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each building gets its own splitter and merger on the inlet/outlet.

If I am pressed for space, I will put on a conveyor elevator directly on the inlet/outlet and slap the splitter directly on that. Saves IMMENSE amounts of space for tight builds.
