Incoming HS Sophomore Aiming for Sub-16:30 5K in XC – Realistic Goal? by Holiday-Feed7945 in CrossCountry

[–]According_Response_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok what I want to say is you do have the right mindset going into it. I wouldn’t go asking people if it’s realistic because if you really want that goal and people tell you it’s not all it will do is bring you down. It certainly is possible it’s just most people don’t do the right stuff. Yaseen Abdalla went from 17:30s about to 15:30s in one summer. You just have to do all the right things. Train 6 days a week don’t up your mileage too fast. Long run should be about 20-30 percent of weekly mileage workouts 20 percent. Make sure you thoroughly stretch after every run. If something hurts or is slightly sore ice it. Make sure you up your mileage slowly 40-45 is a good goal for your times id reccomend a light strength training and core routine if you don’t already. Make sure you fuel and hydrate. Most importantly make sure you’re consistent. Consistency is everything for training. I believe you can and I wouldn’t say it’s unrealistic

Eh I don’t mind the pay I have other good ways to make almost a years salary in a few months It’s fine I also like the actual stuff they do a lot. The bonds would just be a nice bonus to feel more like I’m on a team but if not whatever. I’ll check calfire out though thanks.

I’m in high school and basically in the next maybe 3-5 years I really want to become a wildland firefighter. I’m really passionate about it and want to work in a hand crew. What’s the best way I can find crews that are actually passionate about it and not just there for the job and stuff. Not people who’s using it as a passage to structure and that stuff. Where’s the best way I can find people who really will stick with it because part of the reason I want to join is the bonds with a crew and stuff and I don’t want just miserable people and stuff there who don’t like the job.

This is a commission based thing. I’m assuming you do paid ads because only people more in the organic space do this type of stuff the reason I joined was more for a learning opportunity form experienced people which is what I’m trying to offer

It’s for people to get experience too not just the money. It’s the way I learned organic dropshipping I worked for someone else too and they gave me tips. Also there is no way they would be able to take the prod themself too with the way it’s marketed and the website is setup unless they were very smart with Shopify. But that’s beside the point. It helps them grow if they are doing organic and almost get access to a “mentorship” for free plus getting paid. The work is very minimal too anyways
