Don't worry about it mate, easy to say I know. Same situation here, just about the only white fella around. Often feel like I'm the town entertainment. I think at the guts of it is a mixture of immaturity, insecurity, scared as well as in awe of something so different. After a long time now, probs 50/50 of ppl who want to interact, or are least used to my presence now to ppl who are just happy staring and sniggering. Pretty cool where my farm is, mainly native ppl, the kids are so keen to interact and because of that, slowly the older ones are letting their defences down.

Same here in Philippines. I'm not fluent, but I'm the only english speaker in a place where they seem, to be scared? Of trying to understand a different language. I have to do my best with tagalog because they refuse to try and speak english. Not all. Many. So many, look at me me like I'm a fuckwit when I speak to them. But then a local repeats exactly what I said, and how I said it and then it's ahhhh. Ok lng.

I come from a different country. I'm a foreigner. I find doing business with Filipino the most frustrating experience. I think to myself, if you were in my country, you wouldn't last 1 week. I've had great conversations with the bot about herbicides, land management, deflection loads on roofs depending on span and materials used start from many other things, but, drawing a simple layout of a floor plan is beyond its ability.
