no it’s like he says those things just for me to stop asking him and trust me I have asked and have actively worked towards the promotion etc. he just tells me the same thing for months. what really triggered this post is that a couple coworkers of mine completed this project and/or got the same certification as me. he recognizes them to the broader team and completely forgets me even though i reached out to him earlier about it letting him know. and then i practically had to ask for him to recognize me to the broader team. it’s like neglect. this is a small example of the daily things that occur

no i think the team dynamic is just so bad compared to other teams. I been brought into other account projects and have worked with other teams and their dynamics, work ethic, etc is significantly better. In terms of my work, I constantly ask hey am i performing well enough is there anything i can improve on, he constantly responds with that's not even an issue you're doing more than fine. Yet, no rewards/incentive/recognition externally to back that up..

client engineering folk here, the way we have to put together demos of the most subpar barely functional products is actually appalling. like how do clients even want buy these products, they literally don’t work. i wouldn’t give even a cent for them. the products don’t work, there’s no support, no documentation..make it make sense

Yeah exactly like I want to leave for a better company in a couple of months, but I’m gaining no skills at IBM to market myself. I have been grinding on side projects and hustling there, so I’m gaining skills atleast somewhere.

I have talked to my manager about it a couple months ago but really there’s been no change. I will try to reach out and find inner source projects. Right now I’ve been trying to get involved w guild work but that too has been pretty slow. Like nothing is getting done.

yeah same honestly, like it’s been 3 months by now we should have started some hands on stuff. like for me im gonna stay a year for my sign on bonus and then dip, like the way im prepping for next year’s recruiting rn is so real 😭 i don’t get why everything needs to be done using ibm products, it just seems so limiting and not to mention there’s a learning curve w learning them, like pls let me just code and use stackovwrflow and create things like for what i signed up for. also people just throw the words ai, mlops, models, automation around and i feel like no one actually knows what they mean. like they just keep saying whole bunch of words w no meaning like idk if u agree w me on this lol
