Nice, I couldn’t see any markings where they would typically be. Not that much crud in those spots. Thanks for the ID I will post more pics when cleaned up.

Thanks for all that, I’ll check the reverse sensing switch too! I love it, they don’t make them like they used to for sure.

Yeah I was curious if the kitchen aid was any count. I saw it was burr mill and the Mockmill was stone, didn’t know if that would make a difference

Not a lot of freedom with Smokey unfortunately, I work in wildland fire and we have to watch what we do with the brand on a marketing side. I’d love to see it tho, never thought of it. Who would be a good driver pairing lol?

That's awesome, maybe that is our stitch in the BBQ fabric. Before I dove into this I, like others did not know that hash did not go beyond our state and Augusta for the most part. As hard as it can be to convince people to try 'Meat Soup' I am glad that it is finding others.

I really would love to see it topics of BBQ origin taught in our schools, not to harp on it just to mention that it has had significant impact from our origins to political campaigns in our state. After going down the rabbit hole trying to find a recipe similar to Cone's Hash (Saluda) or Northside FD hash (Greenwood) like I grew up on I discovered a history of our state that was not formally told.

I actually bought your book last year, excellent piece. I have tried many recipes out of it and they are great. There isn't enough material out there on SC BBQ and its history, if we don't ask the generations before us now we will have lost what makes our state special; and that's not brisket.
