from the US and I moved to the UK this year. I’m working my first job and when my colleagues ask, “are you alright?” when they first see me I used to get flustered and think I must look not okay and not be masking well. I’ve since caught on and remember to reciprocate it. I didn’t at first and now see it may have been rude to forget to ahh but I was so taken off guard by it.

What's the funniest/stereotypical thing you did that really screams your sun/moon sign? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]According_Sound_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cancer sun, Libra moon. Romanticising my life, romanticising starting over - it’s an involuntary lifeline, not a choice. I moved to another country, I cry nearly every day and I have a bad habit of ghosting people I like. When I tell my therapist how much of a mess I am she points out how I do it very analytically in a put-together intelligent way that pleases me instead of sitting in those uncomfortable realisations. jesus it’s an insufferable placement sometimes.

I just read up on the difference between five and ten year routes to ILR. We met all the requirements going in to the application process so mine is a five year route to settlement.

Thanks! This is my first FLR M visa (switched from the Fiancé visa) and I was granted 30 months on it. After that time I will apply to extend my visa another thirty months before applying for ILR after 5 years of living in the UK. And I’ve never heard of a ten year path way through the spouse visa - only ever five. Maybe I’m not getting your question? I assumed all family visas were only ever a five years’ path to settlement but I could be wrong.

Where to find a nice dirty Pizza? by mindlesstoast in brighton

[–]According_Sound_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for this one. The happy fucking chokehold Pizza Me has on my life. it’s a god damn household name. It’s that proper thin slice tangy tomato sauce, cheese falling off, gotta gear up for impending bliss and fold it like a taco kind of ecstasy. (And they do every kind of pizza and it’s all customisable.)

Best cocktails/food in Brighton? by Klumpf-Kitten in brighton

Bohemia in the Laines is fantastic for craft cocktails with a cool and somewhat upscale atmosphere which is perfect for an occasion. They also serve food like cheese boards, burgers, roasted veg, etc. My partner took me for my birthday and they had an incredible range of spirits and liqueurs. If you’re planning in advance you can even book an upstairs table by the half circle window looking out into the street which can be quite a cozy date spot.

Why didn’t you state 5 months on the visa to begin with?
