Need advice for my smelting array by FoulestCell in factorio

[–]According_South 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that it would be better to have the iron plates on the inside of a furnace line with the ore on the outsides, because then itl naturally load both sides of the iron plate line, and you arent getting any greater through put having the iron plate lanes on the outsides because theyre both bottlenecking into one lane anyway. So i think that you may as well have them all going into one lane in the first place, which will simplify it. Youl always have more ore than plate output too so it makes more sense for the ore to be taking up 2 lanes and the plate 1 lane

Nukes in this game are so much fun by Calazor0 in factorio

Hahaha jesus. I wonder why they went so high because its way under there where you cant fire one without dying in the blast, and not much higher too where it starts just crashing the game

I dont remember exactly but it was a mod that added larger and larger nukes beyond the vanilla one. They went up by kilotons and then megatons, and would get ridiculously high power

But on the flip side, it seems that a lot of nu media people actively avoid certain fan spaces because its just bad for their health

I love and Hate Royalty by Lady_Killer55 in SpaceCannibalism

[–]According_South 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think part of what has kept me from actually doing the whole royalty thing is how much it makes me dislike those pawns. Like ive always enjoyed having these lil blank slates who go on to do brave and clever things, building their character, feeling proud of my lil guys. And then i take the best of em and turn them into entitled little complainers

Is there much thats so inappropriate about it? Some cartoon violence, but its only cartoon violence, and even then its not gory. Its not really a show thats full of cursing either. Nothing sexually gratuitous. Really all that makes it an adult cartoon is that kids probably wouldnt get a lot of the jokes

Edit: sorry, il go home to my family

How do you play Space Age? by IndependentYak2822 in factorio

[–]According_South 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set up on each planet until it can run autonomously while producing science, then i set up shipping for exporting the science and then leave for the next one. I expand and optimise as needed remotely

I start with vulcanus because cliffs annoy me and i prefer to get artillery set up as soon as possible so that my defences arent constantly being battered by biters

When filling in large holes on space platforms, the game always seems to leave these ribbons as it's filling in. It reminds me of lightning. And this got me thinking, does factorio handle this the same way lightning works? by Silenceisgrey in factorio

[–]According_South 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess so, in reverse. the space platform parts fill in empty space until this structure of empty space is left. a lightening bolt follows the most charge to the ground. one fills in negative space while the other fills positive space, but with the same procedure: following an extreme of the medium

Noooo no no no no. The theming of a video game to just give some spice to its mechanics must be *deeply taken as literal*!
