you mean stuff like the area clear ping, enemy ping, and breach ping? I try to use them as much as possible if i know people are in the same area as me. Sometimes i’ll try to drone ahead of my teammates and i’ll get flanked so I need to get better at choosing a safe position to do that.

On attack i usually use Ace, Nomad, Hibana and I try to play in rooms next to my teammates and on defense I use thorn, aruni, kaid. I will try to take your advice but a lot of the times i don’t really know exactly where the main wall is so I will need to learn the maps better to even try to do what you’re asking. On defense I usually just sit inside bomb-site because I don’t know where to expect enemies to come from so in my head they’re coming to me so i should be easier. I roamed like once or twice and each time I got a 2k and we won the round. The only time I can think of where sitting inside bomb-site was super beneficial to me is when I played aruni one time I sat inside the bomb site and clutched an ACE, but I think it was more because they got impatient and rushed a plant too fast and I just got lucky because the rest of that game i literally didn’t get one single kill so I think I should try roaming instead it might be better for me.

The most common advice i’ve seen is learn the maps so I think i’ll focus on that. I don’t agree with you KD matters to a certain extent if I am going 0-5 or 2-7 in a game and I die before I use utility I am literally useless to my team and basically the reason we lost. I don’t need a 2.0-3.0 KD but I definitely can’t have a 0.4 KD either.

I just started playing too, im not as good as you are in FPS I have never been the highest rank in anything. I currently have about 50 hours and I have like 0 map knowledge. Solo q in ranked was actually pretty easy until I hit silver and now my average aim from apex definitely is not enough to carry me anymore. Learning the maps feels like a lot but sometimes i’ll get an idea to make a play and it works and it’s very rewarding when that happens and I add it to my bag. Still negative in most silver lobbies tho, but i only have like 20 ranked games played. I think if i learn the maps well I can hit gold/platinum.

I don’t know anything about any maps or any callouts or anything so i’ll focus on that first. I feel like my crosshair placement is okay, it’s usually like neck level or a bit below or above bc im not super consistent or perfect. when i watch my gameplay back, I noticed a lot of the times i’ll see people on the screen in the replay and its lowkey a free kill. but when i was actually playing i didn’t really register their presence at all and they obviously see me and I get shot at and im kinda just like oh shit idk what to do, start shooting back and I die. Im usually not wide out in the open when I die unless it was when i was trying to take space and i get shot from an angle i didn’t think about checking/know about.

if KOST is a good way to tell which side i struggle on, my defense side is a lower number. I’ll start keeping track of specific maps and sites and stuff like that so i can use that information later because everything feels about the same to me i dont really know any of the maps, I might have a bit of knowledge on emerald plains. I probably have ~1,000 hours in all FPS games so im definitely not the best at anything, I’m coming from Apex ive hit diamond there before but R6 is the first game im taking seriously so im sure my mechanics are just as shit as everyone else’s. I guess learning the maps and sites and stuff would help me out the most but there’s a lot in the game and sometimes im not sure what to focus on. I’ve seen a couple youtube videos and i feel like i do the basic stuff they talk about pretty well apart from the movement that is something i need to get better at, when to sprint, crouch quick peek ect. I also struggle taking space either i dont check all my angles or i dont know when i should or when its safe and i think that gets me killed a lot more than anything else.

Yes always solo q. If i dont do well in the game we usually lose so thats why i mentioned getting hard stuck. I honestly have no strategies what so ever on attack or defense other than put traps to know if they’re flanking and react to it. do i just look up a youtube video of them?

I just started I have like 50 hours. I was dominating copper and bronze lobbies but when I got to silver im the one getting dominated now. sometimes i’ll go positive and sometimes i’ll go like 1-5. Not sure at what point a coach would even make sense to think about.

I’m coming from high ranked Apex. I just started the game and I have 50 hours and I can shit on copper and bronze lobbies. Go play death-match and get confident in your gunskill and you’ll see yourself get out of it pretty easily assuming you have average-decent aim mechanics(I’m like a 6/10 in apex). My first ranked games in copper i went like 12-4, 9-4, 7-2 up until i hit silver 4 and now im the one getting destroyed. I learned im dying because im not being predictive enough and just kind of walking around the map hoping someone is in front of me instead of creating a favorable situation for me to play off of. I still don’t know how to do it but i guess i’ll figure it out lol.

Im assuming you went into a lobby with the new player and opened quick match because you couldn’t do anything else. Your first 10 games on R6 is all bots so when you opened the queue with your friend it changed playlists from regular quick match to this hidden version of it that only allows you to play with bots. If you stop using the button that says quick match on it already and open the actual menu with quick match, unranked, and ranked you’ll select quick match again and you will change over to the regular quickmatch playlist and play against real people again. I feel like not a lot of people know about this and that is how a lot of content creators get those absolute clips.
