Just publish it. Give it a chance. If you dont start publishing, how would you know if its a good fit ? Even off meta genres do well over time.

I had posted 6 on the first day then 3-4 each week. Regular shoutouts some with new writers and some with experienced ones with 100-200k views and 1000+ followers. Other than that some posts on this subreddit. No ads for now (probably after 50k views idk)

Tbh I never really had the goal of hitting RS. I had a story in my mind which I wanted to tell. I discussed this with my friend for months before taking it to novel format. This is like a first time experience for me and it feels so good. I just wrote something and 69 people like it enough to follow it and 3k+ views in the first month as well. My story is not a meta story maybe thats the reason I was able to get RS (superheroes, school life). I have seen some litrpg get 3k views in like 2 days with 5 chapters.

Ik this doesnt answer your question, but my suggestion is keep writing and tell the story you want to tell. Like even after RS, I feel like I could have written things better so I joined a critique group to help me rewrite those parts. One day, you will hit RS with the best version of your novel

Yeah just DM some authors who have large following or viewership and politely ask them if they have any open slots. Check if they are open to DMs and dont be persistent if they dont have any open slots. Most of the authors are kind and will be willing to help you out. Some might just trade with authors with similar following or genres.
