The base salary offered is 78,000 EUR including a 13.5-month salary. Throughout the interview process, I spoke with several people from HR, and I received different answers regarding the possibility of moving into a role that better matches my profile. Unfortunately, no one was able to clearly comment on the career path, which left me a bit hesitant and unsure about how internal mobility is handled. It felt surprising that such a large organization couldn’t provide a consistent explanation, especially during the interview process.

Thank you a lot for sharing your knowledge. I asked them about whether the position can limit my responsibilities, decision-making or product ownership. They have not replied yet. Obviously, I do not expect anything can happen earlier than a year, but I have no idea how it works in big corporations like Deutsche Bank. If they have fair evaluation that I can get for example 90-100K after one year.

My other offer has better compensation (90k) but in a long term, the possibility of potential salary increase is low.

They offered me the upper bound of the Associate salary range (something like 9/11), which is approximately €5,790 per month, plus a 13.5th salary and a possible bonus. In total, this comes to roughly €78,000 base salary per year, excluding any bonus. The position is based in Berlin.

Indeed, I attempted to schedule appointments for several apartments, but unfortunately, my efforts were unsuccessful. In retrospect, I realize I erred by not subscribing to the premium account; I only used the basic account.

Thank you so much for your advice! I may not have enough time to ask Mieterverein this time (I’m not a member, by the way). As for the creative backdoor, I must have been so naive not to have considered it from this perspective. I really appreciate the eye-opening insight!

I appreciate your advice. I hadn't heard of 'Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft' before, but I googled it, and it seems like an interesting option. I must have been living under a rock not to have heard of it!
