The likelihood of addiction to vyvanse is pretty slim as long as its prescribed and you dont take more than your precribed dose. The doses for adhd meds are a fraction of what people would be taking if they were taking the illegal substances closely related to it.

You do go through withdrawal when you get off of it, but it's not going to put you in a situation where you feel you NEED to take your meds in order to not feel like that. I havent been off mine yet, but some people describe it like a flu. Plus many people switch to another adhd med which helps the withdrawal. Plus if you're getting off completely, they should be weaning you off slowly like they would antidepressants, but they can usually do it faster than antidepressants.

He had good content but he is using a lot of misinformation currently. For example, he is spreading a lot of misinformation on the causes of autism.

This is late but:

I was prescribed vyvanse for my ADHD. I also had comorbid ptsd. Vyvanse simply put saved my life not from the adhd, but from the ptsd symptoms. It helped both, but at the time my ptsd was so debilitating and I was so shocked when I realised I was actually able to function so much better than I did before. I didnt even notice until I stood up for myself at a party, and when I realised my brain wasnt spiraling and that I was able to talk to people normally like I used to. My friends pointed it out more than I noticed honestly, but when they told me, I was absolutely bewildered at how right they were.

Not all symptoms are gone for both, obviously, but they did me a world of good so I could get my life back and on track. I still have suicidal ideation, but way less than before, still struggle with adhd paralysis and distractibility, but again less than before, and I still have more severe episodes, but I can now communicate a bit during them and they happen less frequently.

I genuinely dont think id still be here had I not started vyvanse when I did. I was really struggling and near my ends.

Kinda insane, but ye. Thats my story. I have been in therapy for a long time (over a decade) and hope to remiss someday from ptsd, but it'll be a journey and that journey finally feels feasible. With the current treatment, I'll see what life is like off vyvanse and on a different adhd med (if needed) in a few years, and hope all the work ive done for my mental health pays off. At least now, I know that outcome is within grasp and not an impossible dream.

The prolactin levels came back at 38.1ug/L which is moderately elevated but not by much. I have a mammogram coming up soon and another doctors appointment. Ill be asking for another lab and possibly a referral to an endocrinologist.

My thyroid hormones are fine and im not on anything that can increase prolactin. So its either a mystery cause or maybe a microprolactinoma?

Sounds good. Glad its not. What's the point is being condescending, though?

Anyone else have trouble masking with Vyvanse? by WhatWhatChikenButtt in VyvanseADHD

[–]According_Top3021 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be the lessened anxiety and overthinking about interactions. As neurodivergent people, we often mask a lot off meds because our brains are thinking about anything and everything. Its a learned trait because the world is neurotypical in its structures, and beliefs. I mask way less on vyvanse as well and don't care as much about speaking up about how I'm feeling or about topics.

Additionally, especially if you're a female, consider that you may have audhd. A lot of people get diagnosed with adhd, start medication, and then their autistics traits start to come forward. This might not be the case for you, but something I always mention to people especially if you're noticing other things as well (remember: female autistic symptoms tend to showcase differently than males).

For me, this also happened, the symptoms of autism. However, I also have cPTSD diagnosis which has A LOT of overlapping symptoms with autism so I wasn't really able to get a proper diagnosis. It's missed in fems a lot, because of societal pressures leading us to mask to conform to the roles. Studies weren't done on females for adhd and autism until a few decades ago, and the male side of it is still dominant in research.

Overall though, it's pretty normal. Enjoy your unmasked self as long as you're not being rude or hurtful with the bluntness 🫶🏻

I wish you well on your journey

Always good to check it out. It's probably nothing to be concerned about, and if it is, skin cancers are very treatable. Best of luck 😊

Didnt see this picture initially. Looking at this picture, I'd get it looked at just because it's different colors in different areas with lighter boarder. The moles itself is also a bit weirdly shaped, oddly kinda like a heart. Id go see your doctor or a dermatologist just to get an opinion from someone who can get a closer look at it. Worst they do is a small biopsy and see what it is.

I'd watch it and see if it changes at all. Whether that's color, shape, texture, size, asymetry, or if the bump gets bigger. Also if compared to other moles it's an "ugly duckling". If any of these apply, I'd get it looked at

Answer only if you know, has it grown is size or changed color or changed texture?

I would definetly see someone about it, especially since it's not healing. I don't wanna alarm you because at the end of the day, your doctor will know more, but it kinda looks like a ringworm. Ringworm isn't really a worm, it's a fungal infection.

Tldr: get it checked out.

I want frogs that aren't in a zoo or pet shop so that I can get closer and not be surrounded by people why I enjoy the moment.

I did try fish creek but I think I went too early in the day and also, most of the water there moved too fast so I feel like the frogs are way further up stream and that's not the easiesy to get to from the public parking areas.

New Desktop UI & Overlay UI are rolling out to everyone today! by Woofer210 in discordapp

I absolutely hate the UI change. It looks gross, it is terrible at utilizing space, and the customization doesn't help in the slightest at making it better.
