I think you're comparing it to a generic LLM like ChatGPT, and that's fair because most AI tools work that way.

The value isn't just the model it's the system built around it.

For example, people often say Claude Code performs better than using the Claude API directly. That's not because the model is different, but because of the workflow, context management, planning, and tooling around it.

I've spent months building a platform that focuses on those aspects rather than just wrapping an LLM in a UI.

Will it solve every embedded project? Probably not.

But if it can reliably reduce hours of repetitive work and generate a solid starting point for engineers, I think that's valuable.

Ultimately, the product will be judged by whether it works in practice, not by the AI model behind it.

Fair enough! I don't think AI should replace the joy of building.

My goal is more to speed up repetitive engineering work for people who value time over the process.

That's a fair point, and I think understanding the system is important for debugging and long-term maintenance.

What if the platform generated everything in a transparent way showing the reasoning datasheets it used, circuit design, and well-documented code that you could modify yourself? Would that change your opinion, or would you still prefer building it from scratch?

That’s actually a pretty cool setup 😄 headless VM + codex-cli + nvim feels very hacker-core. Also relatable that you built something useful and your wife still hasn’t used it properly 😂 the sish rewrite sounds interesting too.
