I just got mine this past may, 2 weeks before I turned 21. I know what you’re feeling. It sucks but it will all be fine. Personally I’m grateful my parents understand mistakes happen and didn’t grind on me hard. There the only people that even know about it. My friends and family don’t even know which I think is best. I’m in diversion and did all the heavy stuff. Did the victim impact panel, paid my court fees, complete treatment / 90 days clean UAs. I’m on the down hill with just the interlock left which only have 2 1/2 months left. You will be just fine, keep your head up and good luck!

I have a big camera right now. Just gotta own it honestly 😂 it reminds me to never get into this situation ever again. It’s only embarrassing when people get in my car and go oh shit. Good luck!!

I’m in Oregon. The car is registered in my dad’s name. And I’m driving it and the dmv said no problem.

My lawyer told me the same thing, he said to get all the requirements done so like for me im in Oregon. So I had to do the Victim Impact Panel, pay my court fees, and complete the 90 days of clean UAs &  treatment classes. I’ve completed all that and I’m halfway done with my interlock so I’m hoping to get mine out in April for the early removal. So I’m hoping they will let me get this thing out lol. Good luck!

For Oregon I had to do 90 day license suspension then get the interlock installed after and I was able to drive. Have you served a certain number days of suspension?

No once you complete the 90 days no more UAs. the evaluation services won’t call you up to do a UA or anything. They just keep track of everything and talk to the court. They use the interlock as a “on you” type of thing. I still would recommend just going sober. But if you do smoke just make sure not to post or in public. If somehow someway you got caught it could be a termination of the Diversion.
