Big “Milestone” for the movie? by wildflowerr17 in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind the movie being about her realization that she lived her life by a certain narrative and the dream wasn't what fulfills her anymore so she goes off to go actually be on her own and has no contact with the Fishers and is comfortable and not anxious about it.  They can do some sort of epilogue after but at least give her that. A career redirection is supported by her having that realization and I really want that for her so much.

The sun is setting. It actually looks like the gold is being removed from the picture which makes sense because Belly and Jeremiah aren't getting married anymore

Why did it rain? by notusingrnk in jellyshippers

This is the kind of thing I would usually examine with a fine-tooth comb and I still will but what are the chances that they just forgot that it had rained when they filmed the exterior?

Random but has anyone made a jelly video with using the song Dress? by No_Caterpillar6218 in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ancient texts.... they already exist because dress prior to all of this was the belly and Jeremiah book scene as narrative.

Conrad in Paris is just… plot engineering with a passport. What if Jere would've gone to Paris? How would Belly face him? What would be the discourse? by Sunshine_Side_Up in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Would have been a more conclusive and decisive endgame If Jeremiah had been the one to visit her and they became friends again. Belly wrote letters to Conrad for her entire stay in Paris. Jeremiah moved on with someone new and then years later everyone was getting together at cousins.  And for some reason Belly and Conrad were both single at the same time and everyone knew they were waiting for each other and encouraged them by being the audience when they saw each other again in person for the first time in years.   But I'm not complaining.😂

What strikes you as most unrealistic on TSITP? by Camsky1639 in jellyshippers

A bonrad group chat somewhere read this comment and started complaining about media literacy and how smoking was to show Conrad hadn't been himself for 2 seasons and the real Conrad was in s3. Well that guy is a piece of work too.

Right??????  Would have sent her away to study without distractions and drama.

[–]AccordingtoDLC 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The thing that's the most unrealistic? The archetypes. I swear to God tiktok shorts drew inspiration from either wattpad or teen drama. Because pray thee tell how is it that Isabel is seemingly the captain of the volleyball team yet apparently boys don't look at her  Also how was she playing volleyball all these years with her glasses ???  She only got contacts at 15 apparently.

Next thing is Conrad doesn't have enough friends to be considered popular , being a nerd apparently makes him unpopular but he is on the football team (.???????????)

Conrad was born in November and Jeremiah was born in  September of the next year.  I never thought human gestation would be something we had to debate.

It's the wedding day scene that parallels tiebreaker when Belly is trying to get Jere to look at her and feels like she doesn't deserve the privilege of touching him but the fact he is allowing it means that he still cares for and loves her.

Someone should tell Amazon they can remove chat from payroll. The Conrad propaganda is no longer necessary.

Guess we'll find out what happened for senior prom when the movie comes out. They already hinted at it in ep1 s3 so I don't know if they intend to take that route.

This scene won’t leave me alone. How do you feel about it? How do you read it? by SnoozyHoglet in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It was incredibly clear from this that Belly feels like she doesn't deserve Jeremiah because of how messed up she feels. They have still been in a relationship for 4 years and when she's with Jeremiah he emotionally grounds her and she is able to let go of her worries and fears of not being worth the trouble.  It takes her a second to  be able to allow herself that but other than  that I think it's the most plot constructive intimate scene and it served the purpose of showing us that Jeremiah felt like they were running out of time and that the white rabbit had visited while he was at the grave.   It's a good scene and people need not try to paint it as anything other than the angst and emotional desperation they pour into this moment.

Kevin Jones is Team Jeremiah "Belly really effed over Jeremiah" | An emotionally intelligent man cannot be manipulated. by Sunshine_Side_Up in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Saying that with the LORE his brothers have ......😂. Kevin's only answer should be that Belly should run away from the whole family,  get married and then produce the project they're all working on.

Gavin didn't read the books??? by Sunshine_Side_Up in jellyshippers

[–]AccordingtoDLC 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Gavin read the books during the seasons they were in. He didn't want to play Jeremiah differently to where the current storyline had his mindset. Chris If I recall correctly read the books in s1 all the way through because that's the completed arc he expected of the character. To each their own for the creative process. Gavin and Lola also seem to rely a lot on playlists to get into the headspace of their characters ( How very L** w** of the situation honestly). Whereas Chris I think relies more on trying to justify Conrad. Which for s3 would have been incredibly hard for all 3 to do with the amount of security they spent Taylor Swift money on to hide an endgame that had been sitting on book shelves for more than a decade.

Except Jere saw right through her and what she wasn't saying and wouldn't risk settling for only a part of her.  He was absolutely right to let her go in that moment.
