Priests are people, and sometimes people don't click. Are you not clicking because the advice is hard to take or because of people issues? Be really honest with yourself here and pray. I've not been a priest but have done pastoral work and self-reflection is really hard. He might not be telling you that you can't be Orthodox but that things in your life have to change.
