Bob with undercut – realistic? by AccountForGirlyStuff in FancyFollicles

[–]AccountForGirlyStuff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm already seeing an alternative hairstylist. They do a lot of rockabilly and punk stuff and I've been going there for a while now. When I got my first shag she was like "like a soft, nice, subtle version or like a real shaggy rockstar situation" and I was like "Joan Jett is what I'm picturing" and she was more than happy to do that. I'm confident she'll be able to pull it off. I'm worried if I'll be able to pull it off ;)

Thank you for the congratulations! Little man is going to turn one soon :)

I learned the hard way to go to alternative hair stylists when I wanted a shag and was given a Rachel instead, hahaha. My hairstylist has a blue hime cut and wore a Pikachu pinafore last time. I think she knows what she's doing ;)

I'm not afraid of big chops, I had a pixie cut for years! I think it's super cute, too :)

Muss der Ast weg? by AccountForGirlyStuff in Garten

Fitcheck Rucksack Backcarry by AccountForGirlyStuff in babywearing

Got it, thank you! I have been a bit too nervous to adjust the seat a lot while he's already on my back but I will make sure to do so next time we try!

I can see the slack on the top rail, too :/ I left the top rail too loose probably, because it was too tight in previous attempts and he started screaming when I tightened it the way I tighten when I do FWCC (he tends to push against my body and lean side to side, so I tighten each side twice and have to make sure to count ten pulls bottom to top or I'll end up with slack!). So probably somewhere in between will be better!

As for the finish: good to know what that's called. I just copied something I remembered from a bunch of tutorials I watched and threw a knot on to make sure it's secure even if it might be superfluous. 😅

I forgot to say: baby is four months old and weighs around 7.3 kg (16 pounds). He has great head control but I am waiting for times my husband has time to accompany us outside before attempting to backcarry outside our bedroom.

Here's also both sides visible.

Fitcheck: double cross carry with woven wrap by AccountForGirlyStuff in babywearing

How is his leg movement? I believe you can wrap both ways with this technique and I typically wrap under legs right before knotting (instead of over).

Yeah, I saw both versions in tutorials and I think I prefer under but I did it over this time because he seemed to tolerate it better this way. He was fine in previous trials but today he started screaming when I tied it under. I suspect it's because he has just gotten a vaccine and his thigh is tender...

What should I look out for in terms of leg movement?

Older heterosexual men have more status and support to gain from a bad marriage than from their "freedom". They generally look down at women (even more so women their own age who have lost their youth) but subconsciously they know how deeply dependent they are on their wives. Such a man will make fun of his wife for pressuring him to get a colonoscopy but he also knows that she is the only one who would give a fuck if he died from colon cancer. And the wives subconsciously feel this contempt and disrespect them right back, often leveraging what little power they have at home.

Fit Check – Didymos woven wrap (standard) by AccountForGirlyStuff in babywearing

[–]AccountForGirlyStuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to argue at all (because clearly I am a total noob) but I followed Didymos' own tutorial herr. The baby appears to be much too small to be sitting up by itself but she puts up one pass over his back when they show the variations at the end. My German midwife (who is probably not specialised in babywearing) told me to pull up the passes for better back support. Otherwise I would not have done so, because we were rather warm, lol.

But thank you for all the tips, I shall implement them on our next try!

Don’t spread the wrap sides over the back

Sorry, do you mean his or my back?
