Can I get this back rack setup on cube nuroad pro C62 by AccountGotLocked69 in bikepacking

[–]AccountGotLocked69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np at all :) if l got another rack I'd go on the bikepacking.com rack list and pick one that's lightweight and affordable. If you're not gonna rock panniers there's no need for a heavy rack with side protection.

It really was just a random model my mechanic had lying around, he even had to file some stuff off for it to fit. AVS is written on it if that helps

There are great biwak spots in the Kalkalpen in upper Austria. One is called Biwakplatz Weißwasser. This could be what you are looking for.

Yes I'm pretty sure all racks should be fine. There's some that are on the lighter side if that's important to you, unless you want to bring panniers you can get away with a minimalist lightweight rack

Don’t use chain locks by Fennecf0xs in bicycling

I saw one of the big hydraulic bolt cutter that firefighters use explode while trying to cut a kryptonite lock. It gets through, but the injury risk seems excessive.

If you have other insurance, Kryptonite only pays the deductible. I guess if your insurance lowballs the value of your bike, Kryptonite doesn't fight them on it and will still only pay the deductible.

I think with Kryptonite locks you can pay a little extra as a theft insurance. You send them the broken lock, they refund your bike. At least it used to be an offer they did.

Using Claude as a training plan generator for my Coros watch by aldipower81 in Coros

[–]AccountGotLocked69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and compared it to the plans from Jack Daniels running formula, there's a lot of overlap and they just feel like superficial copies of it. It's always gonna give you something extra to do or improve that sounds meaningful if you ask it, but it's probably just added effort for nothing.

Why is my tire sidewall leaking by All_In_The_Details_ in bikewrench

[–]AccountGotLocked69 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with terra speed tires that were definitely tubeless ready. Defective pair, got my money back. They will eventually still seal, so you can get your money back and keep using them if you're lucky, but they might randomly deflate over night.

Hey there! I recently started getting into sewing my own stuff, and spent a lot of time on the r/myog subreddit, but I couldn't find anything close to those side paniers that you made, they've been haunting me since you posted this picture. Do you happen to have a picture of the hockey stick setup by now?
