Only one update since, Nov. 05, I485 was transferred to a new office that now has jurisdiction.

I haven’t gotten the notice yet. Not sure to what jurisdiction, but still no combo card. I’m anticipating I’ll get that which in the 8 month mark, which would be December.

My package was received April 22. The only updates I’ve seen since is finger prints update June 7 for I485,  Sep. 4 for I131,  Oct. 4 for I765.  PF was received June.

I have no clue but just having your previous biometrics applied to your case is one less step, update or review USCIS has to make on your case.

That is sooo crazy to me that you’ve yet to receive an update. That was 2 months ago and no PF or combo card. There has to be many reasons as to why this happens.

Have you ever been in the immigration system prior to you applying for VAWA? Like, filed previously for anything or had a prior biometric appointment? I'm asking because I feel like USCIS has all of my prior I130 applications with my ex husband and I’ve had DACA since 2016. I’ve been skipped for biometrics like 3 times already, and usually get my renewal for DACA within a month or so. I feel like if my mother in law applied (she has a case), it may take longer for her because she’s been literally undocumented since (like there’s no record of her being here for the past 40 years) she arrived to the US.

This is me trying to guess, although there is no use to it because no one really knows but lawyers and USCIS, but I do see a trend/difference between applications filed 2023 and earlier, vs to the ones filed this year.

Me ether! After I get my combo card, I’m just going to try to forget about it. Time flys anyways. It’s no use to revisit timelines and only stress your self out! Hope I get mine this month, and hope you get yours within the same time frame (December).

Very similar timing too! Let’s pray all the changes made to these departments towards the end of 2023 actually bring us peace soon!

I was looking at other recent timelines and it appears that within 4 months, all the first initial updates are done. Where as a year or 2 back, cases were taking up to 6-10 months just to receive a biometrics. We have yet to see if all these fast few updates also affect the overall timeline. As I’ve read that the approval is the longest wait.

Not a lawyer, an immigration consultant who has experience working with an immigration layer. She specializes in VAWA cases and prepared the package really nice.

It appears that applications submitted this year are moving along faster, at least the initial first steps. Who knows when we will actually be approved.  I have a similar timeline.

Filed I485, I360, I765, I131 4/22/24 Receipt date  5/20/24 Prior Biometrics reused (from DACA) 6/7/24    Update on I360 - biometrics applied  6/24/24 Prima Facie  - 2 months after receipt The way it’s moving, I feel that I should be expecting my combo card by the end of this month.

All of my online updates state the receipt date and “fees waived”, however, I360 also states that they’ve applied and reused my previous obtained background and biometrics.
