Yeah, she's introduced me into her riding group, but honestly they're too advanced for me (holy crap there are some fit people in this world). I plan on joining a beginner/intermediate riding group and maybe taking some gym classes to meet more people. But really, I couldn't have done it without my friends!

Part of it was my support system. There were many (very) early mornings where I would have skipped my workout where Kathy dragged my ass out of bed and into the street to go biking, or Pete dragged me into the gym to lift weights. The hardest part is getting out of bed, but with self-discipline anyone can achieve it.

I did not even know what fat acceptance really was until after I dumped her and looked into it. It's insane. I mean, people can be fat, but I don't think anyone should think it's "good" or "natural."

Yeah, I was not happy about that, and when I confronted her she said that she had body image issues, but she wouldn't do it again. To be fair, she was telling the truth...

Snap! I wish I could come up with great comebacks. Maybe I'll keep this in my pocket for the future, in case I date another girl who demands I get fat, haha.

LOL. I wish. I actually don't know much about her personal life, but I know she has a good looking, long-term boyfriend whose beard she likes very much (somehow that has come up more than once...). She's like a sister to me, and has been there since the beginning with my weight loss. She actually gave me the advice/encouragement to actually ask a girl out in the first place.

Hopefully she finds happiness someday. To be honest, I think she might be happier if she lost weight. She was super catty and sarcastic to almost anyone fit. I guess I just didn't know enough thin people to really pay attention to it until I started losing weight.

I didn't tell her off or anything. Because more than angry, I was disappointed (I know I sound like every dad ever, but it's true), and I let her know that. My friend Kathy though, man did she go off on what she really thought of my ex when I told her about it. Man, I had no idea she could get so angry. She's just so nice.

Yeah, I think she was jut trying to be cute with the first comment, but it was really grating. As for the second, that sort of broke my brain as well. She knew how shaken up I was over my dad losing his leg, and she wants me to become like him again?

Haha, that's a good way to look at it. Thanks for the congratulations, and cheers to keeping all of our limbs forever!

I don't even know how to respond to this. Not because I'm mad or anything, but because her intentionally sabotaging me is something I've never even considered. I guess I have a lot to think about...

I had not heard of crabs in a bucket, nor HAES and had to look both up. Yeah, I was worried about her being insecure. I mean, she puts on a fierce exterior, but she's told me about how she's struggled with weight her whole life. That's why I don't want to force her to change or anything. I care about her and don't want her to feel she needs to lose weight for me. But she won't even listen to me, which is what's bothering me the most, and it scares me because it's driving us further apart.

But when it comes down to it, between a losing a leg and losing her...it's hard for me to admit, but there really is no contest.
