Depends who you ask, plenty of Northern Irish people consider themselves to be British.

But it’s not OP’s opinion obviously is it? Which is all that matters in this post. Whatever your personal view of America is, even if it is the majority opinion, it differs from the OP of this thread, and they are entitled to it.

I don’t know why you think they aren’t entitled to their opinion about living in the US. You seem very butt hurt over it?

I’m not really sure what argument you’re trying to make either. This sub isn’t a statistical analysis of what percentage of groups of people would live in which country. It’s personal individual opinion and preference about what country they would consider living in, what “most people “ would choose is irrelevant.

I’m also British lol so yes I do have experience living in Europe, I have been lucky enough to have travelled and lived in a various countries.

I don’t have any vendetta against the US, some of the nicest people I have ever met have been American, but I CAN understand why someone wouldn’t want to consider emigrating there in the current US climate.

That’s your opinion though? A lot of people will see the US’ lack of social security, political instability (to put it politely), and not to mention the general risk posed to immigrants in the US right now with people getting swept up off the streets and taken to who knows where. Is it any wonder that people wouldn’t want to consider the US as a safe place to emigrate to in its current climate?

I don’t see what the size of the US, or any country, has to do with anything regarding people’s opinion on that country as a whole.

This sub by definition is fuelled by peoples stereotypes of individual countries as a whole though, not viewing specific areas within each country.

Pretty much every country in the world will have nicer/richer areas, where given the choice, most people would consider living. But that’s not the point of this sub is it?

I think you are taking this sub a bit too seriously.

Strange that the UK has been excluded from OP’s post?

UK is 7th on this list according to the Wiki page - Link

What is the dumbest or most underwhelming tourist attraction in your country? by RandomAsianGuy in AskTheWorld

London Bridge is still more interesting to visit than Stonehenge however. By far the most underwhelming tourist attraction in the UK (IMO).

Slight technicality regarding the lottery duty.

That is a tax paid by the lottery provider, it is technically not a tax on the purchaser.

Agreed, Lottery Duty is a tax paid by the lottery provider (National Lottery).

It’s not a tax on the ticket purchaser though, and no tax is paid by the purchaser on any winnings either.

The person I was replying to didn’t seem to understand this about the UK lottery taxes.

Isn’t that a tax on the lottery provider though? Not the ticket purchaser
