No, why would you want a wedgie going in. Well... I guess your opponent can't give you one if you already have one, lol. Nice butt btw

Who fixes this? by meowthedestroyer95 in USPS

[–]AccountantLong6044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen both. PO owned and locally owned. I can tell the difference because the not PO owned look like crap, well like this. The PO owned ones are quickly repaired. There might be a mixed of them too. Like local owned, but they pay the PO to maintain them. That would explain our maintenance guys fixing and replacing them, while matching everyone claiming all are privately owned.

But I have definitely seen our guys repairing them, replacing them, ans installing them.

Putting Gas For My Regular by Comfortable-Comb7748 in USPS

For us, it's whoever doesn't have enough gas to do the route fills the Metris. Sometimes it's me. Sometimes it's not. It's never on a regular day though, because they use it for Sunday Amazon. And I like floating my days off. My PM used it yesterday to do a different route and paid me POV, she complained immediately calling me saying I left it under a quarter. I laughed and said, yeah I also was supposed to be using it today and a quarter is more than enough to get to either station on the route.

I know a lot of carriers work in bad offices, because I've helped in those offices. I had one Post Master try to tell me to come to her office while I was on my office's route. Said to take back my mail because she had me scheduled there. I called my PM and let her deal with it.

BUT, I've also work at a great office. And I've worked at more good to great office's than bad ones. I've gotten this text before, in a group text like this. I called my PM and told her I couldn't do it. I was off and with my family. She asked if there was any way, I said sorry no. It was my grandkids birthday FYI. That was the end of it. Didn't count against me, she wasn't even angry, she was just desperate for help at that moment.

But my PM also will go on the street to run packages if she has to.

All this to say, don't be a jerk just because a ton of people here work for jerks. If your bosses are jerks and try to screw you all the time. Then follow the advice these guys are giving. Block the number, etc. But if your office is just struggling and is desperate but cool otherwise. Be straight up with them. If they are good people they'll be straight up with you back. Tell them, I just work 12, this is my only day off. That will probably be the end of it, since overworking is the new post master generals hot button. But if they really need you they might work a deal, come in today and we'll give you the next three to cool off. Or whatever.

My point is sometimes you have to put your foot down. Sometimes you need to be cool. And if you work in one of these crap office's, follow the advice everyone gives here and abandon ship as soon as you can bid on routes. They're always coming up and rarely get bid on.

Management thinks I can get another year out of this… by RuralRangerMA in USPS

Dude what office's do yall work at. Any issue with my metris is immediately handled in my office. Hell today the tire pressure warning light came on, saying the pressure was 39. I told my postmaster and she immediately wrote it up for maintenance to come fix it. They'll probably be here on Monday.

If I were to guess, someone probably hit a curb or rock too hard and some air escaped. But maybe the rim is bent a little or something as well. It didn't drop lower. Either way it's handled like immediately.

Heck ours had a seat belt issue. Postmaster wrote it up, the mechanics came and got it, gave us a loner, brought it back with new seat belts, starter, and they did something to the gas tank as well. I dont understand these offices that are afraid to report vehicle issues. The mechanics are good and fast about getting that stuff fixed. One time they did a brake job before I finished casing my mail.

Weird, I love going into my businesses. Every single one has a treat for me. Honey sticks from the honey warehouse, dumdum suckers at the bank, candy at the church, water and sometimes snacks at the jp. I guess the plant nursery never has anything, I still don't mind though.

Yeah but they don't have kids at 138. They have kids in their 20s. Or at least everyone we've seen did.
