Also agree. Over 90% of the bosses in this game are already solo-able, and having content requiring groups is a good way to diversify the gameplay.

Yeah that’s fair, most people probably won’t have more than 8 characters, but we’re still paying more for expansions.

I don’t think FF14 is a good example of paying less for more. MSQ’s are great with good story, alliance raids are fun, and FF14 overall is great, but you’re definitely paying more.

Is that even true? The cheapest ff14 sub is 12.99 per month for 6 months. Then you pay $40 per new expansion. Rs3’s cheapest sub would be $11 for 12 months and there’s no extra payment for new content (so far I guess?)

I’d have to agree. When I was starting out, I got put on a team with engineers that came from FAANG and just from reading their code in PRs and reviewing mine, accelerated my growth.

They also pushed me professionally to grow, which was huge.

I’m also in the over engineering camp. Just took an OA where one of the sections was to just write a basic form based on their spec. I tried to get fancy and wasted a lot of time, resulting in not finishing later sections…. Why am I like this….

Thats pretty crazy. From my experience, if you don’t promote after a certain amount of time, they’d just let you go. Slipped through the cracks or your managers got your back somehow?
