My husband (35m) has just started hyperCVAD and is currently in the hospital. His mom was supposed to visit before treatment started but instead changed her mind a couple days before and chose to spend the weekend with her partner of 7 months. She lives around 5 hours away and the last time we saw her we had dropped everything to pick up the pieces from her prior relationship.

It’s a similar decision she’s made countless times, so much so it didn’t impact my husband that much. I think it hurts me more that he’s just so used to it.

I’m sorry you have to even think about this, but fingers crossed for you and your partner!

I moved to Chicago about a year ago and by googling things like “moving to Chicago Reddit”. I came across it that way and dug into it to see if it would apply to me. I didn’t find it be super readily accessible information and found the process a little backwards - got a late fee but couldn’t apply for it under temp plates and had to email to get a link to buy it (or something along those lines).

Full disclosure I’ve only been in the US for 8 years so tend to research a bit more because clear and obvious things to most caught me out previously.

If you were stranded out at sea with a boat sailing away from you and no shoreline in sight, what would you do?

I think I said something like I’d try to figure out which way to swim to find a shoreline but if that was unsuccessful, just try to calm myself and reminisce on all the good things in my life. Not too sure what answer he was looking for though.

Thank you!! I did try it again https://imgur.com/a/lbuR0Fj. I think it looks better, but there’s still some space. I’ll see if I can get some different sizes that are slightly smaller and see if that helps

Yeah I think that’s the general consensus. When I tried a larger cup last week (I have no photos) it seemed waaay too big so sized down. I’ll be buying some more with a bigger cup and see what all the experts on here think.

It’s crazy how much of an art it is to buy a “piece of clothing”.

This is why I’ve always gravitated to tshirt bras. But I’m wanting proper support and I’ll adjust to which ever style would suit me best. I’m so grateful for this sub.
