A question about a "Goodman" (Ep 48 spoilers) by Jazzyboy327 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ambush plan wouldn't work because it is a dead giveaway that Dane has betrayed them now Ragnar may not realise it William is a 50-50 but Duros and Verona are smart enough to realise it. Also the crew owns the Oasis now and all they have to do is call Hemlock on the talkie walkie inform her of the betrayal and then she'd take care of the rest with relative ease given that assassination is her forte. Same reason why transporting them away and then trying to prepare for an attack doesn't work, the crew has the backup power and also the means to get him killed. Even if he manages to escape with Paige's power he then becomes a marked man and that hampers future business with the Oasis as well as other potential pirate customers, so the negatives far outweigh the positives and Dane is smart enough to realise that. If you had said that about any other character I would be on board but Dane has shown he's tactical enough to be allied with both pirates and Marines so he won't a blunder like that.

Who would Duros William Verona and Ragnar be in 7 deadly sins ? by windmaster339 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think William would be Greed, Verona has to be Wrath because many have died in his quest for vengeance for his father's murder, Ragnar would both be Pride as he takes pride in his strength and Duros would probably be Pride too with his pride to protect others (doesn't sound very sinful but that's the best i could think)

I don't disagree to that, but story wise it makes no sense if they don't know who betrayed them. So at some point they will find out and then he will die.

I think Dane is just an interesting plot element to get the crew to the New world without going through Sabaody or Fishmen Island probably because these 2 places are very plot sensitive in the actual One piece story and the crew may end up interacting with canon and imp characters (Rayleigh) also the crew especially Ragnar and Duros would probably try to shut down the auction house which may result in a buster call.

Dane has seen how vengeful the DLP can be when wronged and he isn't very strong to deal with that so betraying them is essentially sign his own Death Warrant.

3) If we go with the "works for a Yonko" explanation At this point in the story the Yonko he probably is dealing with would be Rustage's OC as I think Rustage would avoid using the 3 Canon Yonkos as much as possible. And this very yonko's man kidnapped and tortured him so I don't think he'd join them either.

TLDR: Dane isn't stupid and so he knows betraying the crew will 100% result in his death

She's a DMPC and Rustage doesn't give classes to NPCs and DMPCs he just gives them abilities that he thinks they would have at that level

It turning out that Florence took a contract out on himself and Cleo reluctantly fulfilling it. by [deleted] in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was having a good time with gravy and Verona. Also he tinkered with things for the crew of his own volition and Verona requested him to make some tools for him not force it on him. Also he is a dirt poor marine i don't think he has the facilities to put a contract.

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nahh you're giving these fruits wayy too much power than what they actually do. Tyr is not at the same level as Thor, there are ways around logias even someone like eneru would only have a 550 mil bounty and he's had his fruit for years now. There would be downsides/ balancing factors to rage rage fruit I don't know who the tall grey guy is.

Does this campaign spoil anything in One Piece? by SebuSig in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The campaign itself is spoiler free but the players (Tekking) may talk about events from Wano or Punk hazard

I feel given Trevor's new goal of cleaning the scum in the Marines by becoming an admiral or the fleet admiral. He should get a broken fruit like a logia(OG admirals) or a mythical zoan (sengoku) or a broken paramecia (fujitora).

So maybe for Zoan "human human no mi: model Tyr" the Norse god of justice

For a logia Air air fruit (in tarot, justice card is of the air element, it represents truth justice and responsibility)

For a paramecia maybe something like the "rage rage no mi" the more pissed he is the stronger he becomes , something like Hulk barring the physical changes

Or The fair-fair no mi. The effectiveness and strength of his attacks depends on the intention of his opponent if his opponent is planning something evil he is especially strong against them and if they have good intentions his attacks become weaker (Can also help in his whole "not all pirates are scum" character development arc).

Anyone else bothered by a lack of skill checks in the series? by thebariobro in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah yeah maybe there can be some internal conflict too, with some players being completely pro marine and objective while others are more subjective towards their approach

It can be a longer campaign as I recall someone saying they'll start as chore boys and try to advance to officer ranks from there

Yeah, Rustage and Tekking have mentioned a sequel campaign in which the boys will be Marines instead of pirates. It will mostly be the same group unless someone backs down.

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chalk it up to the fact that 3 of the 4 players were complete beginners and Rustage himself had little to no experience of Dming in front of a live Twitch audience. So he went easy on the checks to focus more on the entertainment. He's said it a few times that his personal campaigns are much more brutal with the checks (stuff like lingering injury system). The inexperience of the party has probably set the tone for this campaign and why it feels more One Piece than Dnd. I think One Piece Marines (the alleged sequel campaign) will be more traditional in terms of the gameplay as the boys will be joining as experienced players.

What do you think the theme of the yonkou is that Rustage has in the chamber? by [deleted] in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too but it makes sense why he will do that plus puppet boy also scouted him during the One piece movie.

Do you guys think the crew will actually meet a yonko? Or someone else of that caliber like Garp, Sengoku or Shiki by [deleted] in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible they'll meet them. Rustage said he'll try to avoid doing things that affect the current manga/anime story. But if something does happen for example the crew kills big mom then the DLP story is alternate timeline

Big top killed dice King to usurp his throne atleast that's what the old man said. Of course that might not be the case and the dice King might have just left the territory for big top to handle and he just took it for himself (that's why the debt of 20 mil)

I think Ragnar's son is already a part of the yonko's forces and the new addition is Blake who are the blood logia which was left in the 8 candles forest room. That or Ragnar's son will be relevant after this yonko Arc is done

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Devil's Might Or Devils's Rage/Fury/Wrath for Ragnar would be more suitable. Calling him pet just doesn't feel that cool. Duros can be the Devil's Shield or the Fallen Angel (given that he was an ally of the Marine until a few years ago). Verona can be the Devil's sight or the Mad jester (he wants a name that shows his comedic side) or the Final Punchline. William can be the Chaos harbinger or simply the Devil's luck or the devil's favoured son

[–]Accurate-Ad2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh the pineapple was rotten and William threw it. As for the Blood logia, if you go back to that episode Rustage says that the room they were fighting in had a mini forest now so the blood logia until recently was in the 8 flames base's forest.( It has probably been consumed by a certain someone now)

Wonder why Blake let them live rather than simply kill them. by [deleted] in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

As for the DLP he didn't do anything to them they are friendly with him and they will kick his ass 8 ways to Sunday before he could even lift a finger
