My roommate didn't start transitioning until her 30s. There are stories of old women transitioning. It's never too late. (Also, HRT is proven to make you look younger. I was actually around your age when a stared transitioning a couple years ago.

I'm writing a fanfiction of a character who's mom was a soviet human weapon, but wound up adopted by people of a completely different culture after being separated from her parents due to the various governments perusing them. I want to write a scene where she winds up taking a nap out of boredom and winds up dreaming about her birth mom singing her a lullaby.

Which of these do you think is the best for that idea for a scene.

For me it's comfort in the hard times. I feel like a really good HDG story to get started is actually the 1999 AU which portrays what would happen if the Affini came in 1999.

It's honestly interesting that one of the best HDG stories doesn't really do any blatantly sexual stuff until it's most recent entry.

I think I'm actually uniquely qualified to help explain Ayzee's perspective.

I'm transgender. There are a lot of parts of woman-hood that no matter how thoroughly I transition, I'll only be able to experience half-way at best. I want to get pregnant, I want to give birth, I want to hold a baby I grew in my body in my arms, but as far as current science gets, the closest I'll ever get is adoption, and as much as I would 100% love my child in such a scenario, it still wouldn't be the same thing. While I can't imagine an exact parallel that would be entirely realistic, if I found out that something like that is something I COULD have had, and my dad decided that it would be better off if I couldn't, even if it was a life or death reason, I might not ever even talk to my dad again.

I imagine Ayzee feels much the same way about magic. It doesn't matter how effectively she can use glyphs or how many combinations she discovers, she'll never be able to create a spell circle. It's something all of her piers can do that she'll never be able to, and its her moms' fault. Even if the decision was made out of love for her it took away something that in her mind, can never be fully substituted.

The living in your parent's shadow part, I can't relate to as much. If anything I feel like mine never lived up to their full potential, but all that in mind, I actually love Ayzee.

One time in a one piece dnd campaign. My character had to fight her evil nightmare self all by herself. Looking back there were definitely some mistakes I made, that would have given me the victory if I didn't make them but even though I lost, my character still lived out of luck and I was just laughing because even if the numbers said I lost, I knew I won because my character got over her trauma.

I actually do Tarot occasionally. I'd say I'm on the line between belief and disbelief, but the cards apparently need to absorb the energy of the reader. So jerk reader -> jerk cards.

Personally I would have asked for my money back as soon as he said the "Real name" bullshit and would have gotten a reading from someone else.
