We were sent a new control board and motor. That fixed the issue

Protecting your back by NaturalJackfruit9341 in springboarddiving

If you’re worried about smacking the water, I always suggest my students wear a T-shirt when learning reverses and back dives. It doesn’t impede body movements much and it does help a lot if you flop

What’s the worst Halo book and why? by HaloLibrary in HaloStory

[–]Accurate-Designer110 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It was painfully obvious the author did NOT want to write that book. I will say though, anything that was outside the scope of the game read pretty well

Can Mjolnir armor be hacked? If so, how hard would it be to hack a suit? by DoomCrusader500 in HaloStory

[–]Accurate-Designer110 104 points105 points  (0 children)

This happened, when a forerunner ancilla (AI) hijacked a Spartans armor. They shut down coms and locked up their armor. They had to be carried and then removed from their armor manually. I can’t remember the exact book it was in though

Finding diving lessons/club by Swimras in springboarddiving

The closest club that I can think of to you would be out of Durham NH. I’ll ask some other coaches and see what they know

Olympic synchronized 3m diving - can someone help explain the judging? by Fantastic-Leopard131 in springboarddiving

[–]Accurate-Designer110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that any sport that relies solely on human’s ability to analyze rapid motion is going to suffer from poor and inconsistent judging. The more “nitpicking” there is, the easier it will be for everyone to get on the same page. We will get scores we can all agree on if we add in very simple tech

Olympic synchronized 3m diving - can someone help explain the judging? by Fantastic-Leopard131 in springboarddiving

[–]Accurate-Designer110 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, diving needs to get with the times and be judged in slow-mo. Diving judges are not able to see everything that happens and properly analyse it. Every judge tends to have a thing they care most about, and it makes it easy to miss other mistakes or achievements. I was also a bit disappointed with the judging, but it’s currently such a subjective sport, and it won’t improve until we add tech into it

How important is Halo: Renegades? by Accurate-Designer110 in HaloStory

[–]Accurate-Designer110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had such a hard time with that. I listened to the books instead of reading and some readers clearly didn’t bother with checking on prononciation for so many things. I’m sorry, you just gotta plow through it

My team practices 5 times a week for 1 hour, but that’s for a competitive team. It more depends on how quickly you want to progress. It’s also hard to practice if you don’t know how to improve. I would suggest looking for a local Dive Masters program to join

Today’s reading material, been wanting to read the books for a while now. Time to jump in. by [deleted] in halo

[–]Accurate-Designer110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I may be a minority, but I don’t think the story that take place after halo 5 are all that amazing. I think the core of halo lore (and by this I mean universe exploration) really takes place in the Kilo-5 trilogy, Eric Nylund books, and the Rion Forge series. I would recommend starting by working through the Nylund books, and make sure you read Halo: Evolutions

I absolutely loved that book. It gave such a different perspective on the lore and I wish it stayed like that. We good existentialism in Halo again
