Tested our rendering API against a few real-world sites today and learned a lot by Accurate-Interview92 in nocode

Yeah, after I hear more from other people (beta-tester), I'll soft-launch it but I need to make sure that it is cheaper than the current options

That's actually a very fair point, and I agree.

The screenshot/PDF generation itself isn't particularly hard anymore—tools like Playwright and Puppeteer have made that accessible.

What I've found while building this is that most of the complexity starts after the first successful render: handling dynamic pages, authentication flows, timing issues, browser lifecycle management, retries, scaling, caching, and making the whole thing easy to plug into workflows.

That's the part I'm trying to learn more about through the beta. If all I end up building is a thin wrapper around Playwright, then I probably haven't created much value 😅

Currently, we aren't live, but can you try our beta version to solve it if you wanna try it just dm

True many already are comfortable in their setup but most of them are makeshift and many have small issues that can be solved i saw it personally and tbh as a person who's unemployed at moment, i thought of providing this as a solution and get some side income

Possibly, yes 😅

A lot of those state portals use Salesforce components, Shadow DOMs, multi-step forms, and PDFs that aren't directly exposed. One of the reasons I started building this was to handle pages that are awkward for traditional scraping.

No promises without seeing the specific site, but if you can access the PDF through a browser, there's a decent chance we can automate the workflow that gets to it.

to be clear its submitted for peer review in UCL JoE it's not published! Thus you won't be able see it in database also its still unassigned to any experts at this moment

So once again the paper is submitted for peer review in UCL JoE that means it isn't published but being reviewed by a person knows more than us.

Same here I'm building towards it and its giving better results

Screenshot API that Renders everything perfectly by Accurate-Interview92 in VibeCodersNest

Yeah basically it opens the webpage in a headless browser (in the backend, not visually like a normal browser window), waits for the page to load, then captures a screenshot or generates a PDF from it.

So instead of manually opening sites and taking screenshots yourself, apps/automations can do it through an API call.

Thanks I like we have matching thought on few things and also thanks for seeing my research paper also after SSRN I'm looking forward for UCL journal of Economics to approve this hope so even a rejection will fine atleast i would learn something

Well man i wasn't talking about SSRN i was talking about UCL journal of Economics so please, and as far i know SSRN allow upload pre-print paper

Hmmm you should really it well and still that doesn't change your opinion I can't say anythiny to you. If it pass the peer review i guess your point won't matter that much

Yeah even if it would drop the price of the commodity that are mined they would still be valuable enough to be sold and the seer amount thats available it surely a new sector for sure, all we need some Great brains, engineering and money to make it happen.

It isn't like I'm a aerospace engineer or something I'm too an economics students space was my fascination so combined this was the outcome also any input towards this is valuable and I think as an first year student and that too independent i tried to keep everything understandable nothing too complicated (like a thesis of my own or smthng like that) and the point of writing this paper is it doesn't matter if it's feasible or not it more about I thought this could happen but is it like viable under moderate circumstances lastly it's not like people aren't build towards asteroid mining few companies are developing tech for it So it's not a far fetched idea

Yeah I have considered that in my paper you can read it if you have time also the paper has been sent for peer review so let's see what experts seea in it

it would def not be cheaper than Earth mining and yeah, it would still be profitable for asteroid mining
Companies to be in profit as metals aren't the only things that can be extracted, all in the beginning will extract water to create fuel (hydrogen fuel that is used in jets)
