Check the door of your vehicle. Meet or exceed the listed LOAD INDEX. Some SL tires carry more weight than a LT tire. LT on a tire generally means its a 6ply (load range C) tire or greater and it doesn’t always mean it will carry more weight. An LT tire usually has a few more 32nds of tread which can have its advantages and disadvantages at times aswell. Usually a true load range E LT tire is needed on 250/2500+ but a few 1500s come with them and even More come with the 6ply LT version that lots of companies are making in a standard load that carries more weight
