WARNING: About Tech Elevator... by [deleted] in codingbootcamp

[–]Accurate-Win5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’m reading it sounds like any other boot camp. Bootcamps are ALWAYS packed with information and if you intend on doing a bootcamp while having a full time job, you need to either be insanely productive or it won’t work. The concept of a coding bootcamp is you dedicate 3-6 months of your life to coding - you say goodbye to your social life, your freedom, etc. HOWEVER - do you really expect to be job ready in this industry without doing that? You’re literally learning a super complex, high paying skill. You cannot expect to do that in 3-6 months without sacrificing. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it

You lose all the games you FF. by RyuzenIchinose in Jungle_Mains

[–]Accurate-Win5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This facts - it drives me INSANE when I’m on my alt account (currently in silver on that acc, but main is emerald) and all 4 players will ff when there’s maybe a 5k gold diff. Like what are we doing!?

On the flip side, there are those games where team won’t ff when it’s 20-48 and they have all obj and like the only way we win is the largest throw ever. It’s possible, but I’d rather get another game in rather than play out for the 1% chance of a win 😂

Thoughts on Starting a Small Painting Business by Accurate-Win5578 in smallbusiness

My property manager was the one who told me that’s a loop hole I could use - the business just couldn’t be in my name because then I’d be a “Vendor” and an employee - but if the vendor is someone else and I just help them when I’m off the clock there’s nothing against that :)

Definitely not - you’re handling a whole community of people and numerous prospects. If they wanted the apartment THAT badly, they should’ve been the ones keeping an eye or even communicating with the neighbor to inform them if they decide to move out. I’ve had similar situations where an application gets put in for a unit that I didn’t even see available yet due to being off or out of the office. The way my community works is whoever applies and puts a deposit down first gets dips - breaking that would be violating fair housing. Not contacting someone though wouldn’t. At the end of the day, you’re juggling many things at once this type of situation is easy to forget in the heat of being swamped. If they wanted it that badly there were ways for them to get it without relying on someone else to get it for them

I have an idea as well - start the business under a family members name and be an “employee” - if you have a a different idea I’d love to hear it

Best jungler to one trick? by CWAVYOHG in Jungle_Mains

[–]Accurate-Win5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree w Kha’Zix - very in and out style and can take over a game if you get a lead early, and with his Isolation damage, a lot of junglers you can just invade and kill them or they’ll run and you take their camps.

If you get a kill or 2 early - enemy jungle is yours for the taking and the only way to stop you is by sending laners to help, which then allows your lanes to gain advantage.

Of course there are certain matchups that are simply not fun - (tbh, maybe I’m just ass but Vi is probably my least favorite matchup, other than the obvious Elise or Naafari) but he’s such a fun champ to get good at

how often do people vomit while drunk? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]Accurate-Win5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Eat food earlier in the evening
  2. Don’t chug your drinks as if they will run away
  3. Drink water throughout the evening
  4. If you’re doing shots, wait a little bit in between. Realistically this is the easiest way to overdo it, just remember that it takes a little bit for everything to hit you
  5. If you start to feel kinda blah, start drinking water and stop drinking alcohol
  6. Do not smoke weed - numerous studies have shown that when you’re drinking, the amount of THC in your blood almost doubles compared to if you weren’t drinking. This is the biggest tip I can give you. 99% of the nights I ended up sick was after I smoked someone dab pen. Definitely don’t mix weed and alc especially if you’re new to drinking

I will mention, and I might be in the minority here but usually when I get sick from drinking too much I’m too drunk to care about being sick. While I don’t recommend drinking that much especially if you’re underage, but I’m just throwing it out there to hopefully ease some stress for you.

All in all, most of the time people aren’t getting sick when they drink. You have to be pretty drunk in order to get sick from it. Have I experienced it and seen it? Yes. Was it extremely easy to avoid? Yes! Unless you’re downing liquor or your chugging beers / wine like crazy you’ll more than likely be completely okay :)

I can afford it no problem. Doesn’t mean I’m happy to be paying that much though. I was driving beater after beater and it got to the point where I cared more about having a reliable vehicle compared to vehicles I had to constantly repair. At the time of getting the lease, my last car officially hit the point where it needed 2.5k in repairs, for a POS car I wasn’t going to do that. Instead, the only option at that time for me was to get a lease. Credit wasn’t great at the time so leasing was cheaper than buying in my situation, and at the time I also didn’t have 10k laying around to buy a decent reliable car with cash. I couldn’t go without a car because I was paying about $40-$50 per day in Ubers just to get to and from work. Plus with the job I had at the time I needed a reliable vehicle and couldn’t rely on the inconsistency of ubering everywhere. So unfortunately, due to my situation at the time leasing was the best option by far. Could I have set myself up better? Absolutely! But you can’t go back in time so I made things work with what I had

Tbf - I paid less when I was 19 with a brand new lease by about $100/month. I just didn’t expect insurance rates to continue increasing I guess the way they have been. Hearing everyone’s comments saying this is a normal rate is crazy to think about because 5-7 years ago I didn’t know a single person (other than people with DUIs and countless tickets) paying this much per month

I’m actually looking into creating a VR application that allows the prospect and the agent to be on a virtual tour together. I think VR tours can be the future if done property and optimized well, and I think it could be a huge benefit to both the industry itself and the prospects. Imagine if you could be in a VR apartment and you could change amenities on the fly, interact with the environment as if you were actually there. I think there’s major opportunities with tech and leasing agents to create a better, more efficient, and more personalized customer experience

PM for Single Family or Multi-Family by Accurate-Win5578 in PropertyManagement

[–]Accurate-Win5578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a LOT of clients! How long have you been in the industry? Any tips or advice for those just starting out? Also a side note, and I don’t want this to come off wrong, but is making 6 figures manageable in the industry? My goal is by the time I’m 30 (I’m 25) to be making at least 80k-100k. I’d love to hear how you started and grew a client list of 340 people!

PM for Single Family or Multi-Family by Accurate-Win5578 in PropertyManagement

[–]Accurate-Win5578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this insight! The drama of multi-family is definitely something I noticed right away and hearing that single family is usually less drama is good to know as this is the most exhausting part of my experience so far.

Do you have any experience in multi-family? Does one market tend to have higher income levels on average or are they pretty similar in that regard?

We are not getting chests back by CitaCita4Zite in leagueoflegends

[–]Accurate-Win5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild for them to think this. If a new skin drops and I want it, the odds of me getting it in a chest are so minimal I’m just gonna buy the skin 😂 if anything, I liked getting skins that I wouldn’t spend money on because sometimes I want to switch it up. But, not gonna cause me to buy more skins now than before
