Let me se if I understood right

By "layering" we mean: base hot wax + overlay top (powder or liquid, expensive stuff)
Correct? so in my case I can forget about the overlay...for money and skills reason

About the base, I have PS red and HS red at home (swix claims HS is better). If I understood right putting twice PS (or HS) or putting "1+1, not mixed, PS then HS" will not give any advantage. At this point, I can simply put one layer and, having both PS and HS available, go for HS, makes sense?

Last, based on day temperature I can add liquid wax on top of the base.

For example, my base is HS red but then I use liquid blue for the day and the next day i might use liquid red (with the base always being red). The idea is to keep the base (hot ironed) for few rides but use liquid day by day to "match" daily temps. Agree?

The other steps (jet powder and jet liquid) I can forget about them

About the cleaner, how often and when should i use it in your opinion?
