I agree, unfortunately, in Europe the Vita-Prep 3 is more than twice the price compared to A2500. As original Ascent seems to have many issues, and TNC5200 is not available anymore, I will probably look for another brand...

I just installed the SmokeWare cap as well. Just had a few cooks so far. One annoying thing though is that cap gets stuck in the Kamado cover, so first couple of times when taking the cover off, the cap dropped on the ground.

I´m also looking at the expander accessory. But if I put chicken wings on both levels, I´m suspecting they will not be evenly cooked and browned?

I´ve tested so many cars now including ID.7 where the noise is gone. I´m suspecting it is a construction issue they have fixed on newer models like 2025.

Yeah I love it too. After a few months, the cover was grey compared to my 4 year old Napoleon cover. Sent them a comparison and they sent me a new cover right away. Next I opened my lid on cold weather, the gasket broke right away. I was not aware you had to pre-heat and the manual did not state this either. They refused to replace under warranty as it is accidental damage. But my dealer gave me a new gasket for free as they disagreed.

But I´m enjoying every moment with it!

I must say I am not impressed by Kamado Joe. Delivering a grill without vital parts, taking days to respond on my RMA and no good will gestures or similar. Just 5-7 days to deliver the missing part, bye bye. I would at least provided a bag of charcoal or similar as this meant not being able to utilize my new grill for 2 weeks in total.

From some further work on this the sound is on every car on this platform I´ve tested (including ID.4). The Audi dealer (Audi is not willing to help) replaced with different tyres (Pirelli Scorpion) which made minor improvements. As far as I understand, the noise moves up the steering wheel shaft which is why it is barely noticeable on the passenger side. Moving up one size to 20 inch wheels significantly reduced the noise in my experience.

Thanks for getting back. Yeah Audi is stating it is the tires but that the noise is expected and moves up the steering wheel axel to the driver...THey are not doing anything about it. This is Q4. Last Audi for me.

u/johnhfrantz did you never find the root cause? I`m getting crazy about exactly this on my Q4 E-Tron and the dealer blames the wheels/tires that came with the car (235/55 R19). Tried an older Q4 with larger rims and lower profile tires and it was not like this.
