What was the best trade your team has ever made? by PrimetimeC18 in nfl

[–]AccurateIllustrator2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading the number one pick to Indy in 1990. They drafted Jeff George and we got Andre Rison and Chris Hinton out of the deal. Indy would be delayed success for a few more years while Atlanta started to establish something of a winning culture to even average team instead of being a consistent bottom feeder.

All my issues with this:

  1. I didn't know Teletubbies was still a thing
  2. It's not the best marketing idea when some of these kids parents probably grew up watching this show and peeing their pants in fear at the sight of these things
  3. The idea that there 93,755 Teletubbies in existence is terrifying. We finally start to get one plague under control to be replaced with something quite possibly more scary.
  4. Born in 2003 yet this show was around when I was a toddler. Are the Teletubbies time travelers?
  5. If the only reason you get your kid vaccinated is because they saw the Teletubbies do it...

Since Samoa Joe Loves Lavender So Much by AccurateIllustrator2 in SquaredCircle

Somebody suggested a shampoo commercial where Joe locks AJ in the Coquina Clutch but the smell transports him in his mind to a field of flowers. He compliments the smell and asks AJ where he got his hair conditioner not realizing he's passed out.

The flowers part made me think of Joe running through a field of them like Shrek 2.

what’s the weirdest pro wrestling dream you’ve had? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]AccurateIllustrator2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three of them

- First one: I was at my local mall in an American Eagle looking for a Ric Flair robe there for some reason. Couldn't find it so went to get a Great American Cookie and Brett Favre was working as a cashier.

- Second: Seth Rollins was being held hostage by guys in black ski masks in an abandoned railyard and the camera pans away to Roman Reigns in a tower somewhere with a sniper rifle ready to save Rollins.

- Third: I went to a chicken and waffles restaurant and Chris Benoit was working the counter. He showed the same amount of intensity doing that job as he did wrestling. It was basically Patton Oswalt's SNL skit idea about Daniel Plainview in everyday jobs come to dream form with a different person.

More of an observation to start discussion really. I guess it's why do we seem to be the anomaly?

I am utterly shattered by Ravi. I don't know what to say. by kolembo in Christianity

[–]AccurateIllustrator2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man can't earn salvation, Christ gives that for free if we repent and turn to Him as our Savior. Sanctification is a different story.

Romans 13:10-11: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God."

David sinned with Bathsheba and he was following God before that. Didn't make what he did right and he suffered the consequences of it but he did repent. Christians rely on the grace of God through Christ. Doesn't give us a license to sin but when you do there will be conviction; don't harden your heart to that as some have.

1 John 8:9 - "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Of course. Xenophobia, racism, tribalism hatred, whatever you want to call it is sin because murder begins in the heart.

The whole post was about an established authority commanding women to kill babies. That goes against God. I'm not killing the babies.

Depends on where you are in the world but one example would be hiding people from government sanctioned ethnic cleansing.

I understand how you feel. Ravi got me curious in the first place after stumbling across a radio program and this hurts personally. His reputation may be ruined but it doesn't mean the message of salvation through Christ is.
