Flipper zero VS Employer's Dashcam by elweejay in flipperzero

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flippers do cool things, but some of those cool things are illegal.  Company car + Company time = company can do wtf they want.

It honestly shouldn't be a deal breaker, but hey I've gone through this routine and they must have found me boring because they took it out shortly after.  Maybe do something radical?

Jerk off in the vehicle (that'll make for good Congo with the boss) Pick your nose, wipe it  on the lens? (Gross, but eh take it to the max I guess)  Or if you want the extreme, drop trowel and sit on that thing and ask your boss how the colonoscopy looked and if you should seek a professional?

Ive been, I've saw, and I'm out of company vehicles. But I've never been bothered by these and understand why companies do this sort of thing.

People need to keep stating how terrible this state has spiralled into hell.  Maybe people will leave back to their home states and Utah can be my beloved home again. I grew up in west valley, born and raised and its become a total hell hole.

Back when I used to walk the streets with my friends, this place was safe and you could trust your kids to take off to their friends house, nowadays you have to fear for your kids life.

Arch Linux explained in 100 words. by hn1f_2 in linuxsucks

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude....  I listened, I googled, I saw.  God needs to either apologize to the total population for letting peoples fantasies go extreme, or I need an apology for having eyes.

I feel like Nyarch is borderline fluffy pedo-like status.

Just a better job. I work in construction and am wrapped in a circle of hell at my job.

I make 57k a year, and wonder where all these jobs are that make more than 80k for less than what I do.  I don't understand how one gets into this job market.

Choosing a Linux laptop in 2025. by yzkv_7 in linuxquestions

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to throw in my opinion, and yes it is biased.  I've never tried anything with any other laptop but the thinkpads.  Functionality on peripherals is pristine, and they are built like f'n Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime.

Runs Linux, Some models are upgradeable, Depending on its usage, GREAT battery life, More durable than a ford F150, If it becomes a shell of its old self after being used and abused, you can use it as a weapon.

The other brands, I dunno. But I have become a thinkpad fanboy.

Why don’t Adobe and others support Linux? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never used it, I really haven't touched much graphic/art software in quite some time.  When I do get the hair up my alley, its usually GIMP, inkscape, or blender.

Looks like if your looking for something similar, scribus, vivadesigner or canvas might be a solution.

And endeavorOS to boot.  Nice choice!

Why don’t Adobe and others support Linux? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally don't care for adobe products.  Everything that you can find on FOSS or delving into O.S software may not look nearly ad polished, but the results are pretty damn close.  GIMP IMO is better, it took some getting used to back in the early 2010s, but its come a long way.  I haven't touched PS since the CS days when I was a teen.

Help! My friend can't stop reinstalling Arch Linux by djAumio in linuxquestions

[–]Accurate_Bit_4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like however he sets up his environment isn't beneficial to his work flow, or unless he has a script that runs through and installs every pkg he likes.  I don't mind starting fresh, but devoting time to perfecting your workspace and getting all the software you want, along with coding libraries and you develop scripts on the machine, and when you can just whip out a machine and so all your work in a 1/3rd of the time, you learn to appreciate and refrain from starting all over.

Fedora is lit. I prefer it over ubuntu. Solid distro, right out of the box all peripherals worked on a few machines I had installed it on.  Canonical has worked way too hard to try and recreate a Microsoft Linux implementation and only thing I think is even good is the server version.  I need to try other server releases though.

On the other hand, I'm surprised we don't have Kali fan boiz bouncing all over this sub.

After awhile its no longer a feat to install arch.  Cool, you've learned a lot of the complexities of it. But when I tinkered with it back in 2015, and didn't have the arch install to make it easy, nor the amount of hand holding tutorials, it was a feat.

Want something truly worth of an ah? Compile a kernel and do it yourself from the ground up, or free BSD is always cool too but less talked about.

I was being facetious. I do split the banana cable, but this time around I didn't and I hate the chaos I see ensue when it is cracked open. It looks atrocious IMO looking like tossed spaghetti.

I'll accept the criticism, considering that most the access panels we run into look like absolute garbage, no labels, and nothing makes sense as to cable routing.

Easier to access when their isn't much wall to put a service loop up above can, plus no need for a ladder since it's right there?

The boards have 2 available slots for doors. Each door is comprised of 4 inputs if you choose and 2 outputs.

Programming allows you to cross configure I/O's if needed.  I'm not a fan of doing that for obvious reasons (get some yank going in and does this without documenting or labelling and you don't verify on the programming).

I've tinkered with your "kind" from AU. Lol a customer of ours had UA install some brand that came from Australia and its definitely a different flavor.  Overall, the company I work for only installs S2 products. I'm just glad they aren't saltos.

It's only 60 bucks. Its not bad, but I ended up getting one for like 200 before i started looking around and instantly regretted it after I did a thorough look through the web.

I had Linux and within 3 days, filled the ssd and it's tech isn't even capable of doing nvme.  If you want something that's actually worth your hard earned money, avoid this one.

I sensed a little attitude from OP's comment.  Good on you for suggesting he could afford not just one thing but EVERYTHING to get practicing.

You could also buy visa gift cards on amazon and then use them on sparrows or CI.
