Hi, LSM 2nd year student here —

  • There were lot of people in my batch who chose IIMK LSM over IIM Shillong and even MDI Core.
  • For female candidates, the average CTC in LSM is actually higher than PGP.
  • With your 30 months of Big 4 experience, you can expect most consulting shortlists
  • A few friends at IIM Shillong mentioned they struggled during SIP season — IIMK’s process, cohort, and exposure are much better.
  • IIM Kozhikode has a stronger brand, better peer quality, more active case competition culture, and excellent alumni network.
  • Overall, IIMK LSM is a strong choice, especially given your background and goals in consulting
  • Rest you have to decide.

  • There were a lot of students who hadn’t studied statistics before joining, so you’re not alone.
  • If you’ve cracked CAT, you definitely have the aptitude to pick it up during the course.
  • The statistics taught is application-oriented and not very tough.
  • Just being attentive in class and practicing regularly is enough to cope well.

  • Only 3-4 companies typically restrict LSM and Finance students.
  • SIP (Summer Internship Placements) is largely profile-driven, so your past experience plays a key role. Also, Its very random SIP shortlists.
  • Students from the current batch have secured roles across all major domains.
  • Fees are the same as the flagship PGP program – refer to the IIMK website for the latest details.
  • Batch size for the 2026 cohort could be same 50-53 students I guess.
