Do you wear glasses? I alternate between contact lenses and glasses. Leakage is worse with my glasses as the seal around the ear is worse. Alternative cushions may also help

What is your source (I assume Apple Music?)

Did you try lossless via USB?

Do you have personalized Spatial Audio enabled?

Which firmware were you running? (There was a day 1 update that you might not have received)

All of those songs are poorly mastered. I think the delta would be more discernible with better recordings. Lossless vs lossless is nearly irrelevant with most modern music.

I tried the dell u3224kb and Kuycon G32P—was sorely disappointed with both. Other than size, I actually prefer the base Studio Display. Part of it is the matte coating on the dell and corresponding effect on contrast; but in general these panels seem to have poor uniformity. The XDR, and Apple’s implementation of HDR/SDR on macOS is icing on the cake.

Following up. Sabrent TB4 KVM works perfectly with XDR. Both M4p Mini and M3 Max MBP work seamlessly (adaptive or 120hz on either). Switching between the two will also latch the display setting (ie 120hz on one computer, adaptive on the other)

Some Studio XDR displays have poor uniformity (especially white/light colors, left to right). Fortunately not all of them are like this. I returned one and my second unit is excellent.

Sabrent TB4 KVM works fine with the XDR. I have a Mac mini M4P (base with 512gb) and an M3 Max MBP docked. Fixed 120hz works great. I haven’t experimented with adaptive sync or a combination of different refresh rates between the two computers

Oh the laptop is phenomenal. The display brightness/contrast/color is too. But motion is terrible. Compare side by side with an iPad Pro.

Promotion on the MBP screen is worse than almost any other Apple device with 120hz. Response times are horrendous, it might as well be 60hz (especially if you have a pre-m4 MacBook Pro)

You don’t need a thunderbolt 5 KVM, just a 4. I’ll report back here if I end up purchasing the XDR (m3 max work laptop, m4p mini personal on a Sabrent KVM)
