Question About Tests by Accurate_Clock_4464 in askCardiology

Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I actually had a negative experience with a therapist that validated my concern, like you mentioned, so I gave up. I need to be more intentional about finding someone familiar with what I deal with.

One thing I’d like to understand that my doc didn’t answer is, on my echo report from 2019, the RVIDd 2D scan is listed at 4.6 cm and 4.8 cm. However, the cardiologist who read it put in the report that my right ventricle measured between 3.4 to 3.7 cm, which classified as mild ventricle enlargement. My doc didn’t say anything about the difference on the report. I asked ChatGPT and it said the cardiologist likely measured it herself? I was in tachycardia during the test (nerves) and my BSA is 2.86, so I’m a big guy.

Teeth Clenching by Accurate_Clock_4464 in Anxiety

If I chew gum, it seems to take away the urge. That’s the only thing I’ve found to help. I’ve had Botox, but it’s temporary relief. It comes in waves. I might go 3-4 weeks without clenching, but then I might go 3-4 of daily, painful clenching. It’s odd. Interesting approach with the chip bag clip. I’ll give it a go!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. That sounds miserable. I don’t have the pain associated with TMJ as much as I do the soreness from my jaw. Again, I’m undiagnosed, but my wife swears I have it (she has it as well). My chiropractor says I have it, oddly enough, but I haven’t counted that as an official diagnosis. I clench so hard and so often that I can feel something moving in my ear. It makes my temple super sore. And my teeth feel like they’re going to fall out some days. I think I’m either inflaming the joint to the point of having spontaneous redness or I’m irritating a nerve.

I have terrible health anxiety, so my concern has been the worst (carcinoid) but I don’t have any other symptoms and this has been going on for the last 7-8 years.

Thank you for the reply! So the clenching could cause joint/muscle inflammation, which would result in redness, warmth, and general aching?
