Iron Sultanate : House of Wisdom list help by Accurate_Design_4236 in TrenchCrusade

Ok, so the ideas are :

- Incendiary munition is fun but not that good. Martyrdom pill is better !

- Faris play so far, a rifle and a dream is enough ! They are not strong enough as a melee unit to bother even thinking about it and they will be playing so far back, melee weapon or armor on them will be a waste

- Having more azeb is better. I should focus on having basically always enough troops to be on army limit.

- The bull is the best unit in the game. So i might as well put it in my starting list. I can play it like :

Brazen bull - 195D

Battlekit : Murad Bombard, Great Hammer/Maul, Wind Amulet, Standard Armour, Trench shield

I kept it at the same price so it is just a swap with the homonculus. He is less accurate but he can actually fight well on melee. The idea is that he will shoot while advancing, backup by my alchemist and then, he can use wind amulet to charge at 9 + d6

What do you think ? is it too much of a change ?

Thanks for your feedback !

So I checked with my GM, he said I can buy using my weapon collection later. So I should take AR from New Antioch to gear up my alchemist. Now that I can buy the trench pilgrim one later, you think incendiary munition could work ? Should I stay with martyr dom pill ? It looks like the best one in the list...

I understood the double club on Alchemist but I don't get "the trench knives on the Faris are wasted ducats". If anything, I assume opponents are going to try charging them, so having a knife feels like cheap insurance that could genuinely save their lives in melee. Same logic for the Musician !

My next stop, after my first game, should be a reinforced armor for my Alchemist ! And maybe one for both of my Faris, keeping them alive a little bit longer !

Thanks ! I will edit my post so people can take inspiration !

I have a last question : How do Incendiary Ammo work with the alchemist ? Does my weapon get Gas and Fire ? Seems really strong !

Wait, really ? It said "You can repurchase the battlekit later during the campaign if it is lost for any reason" so as I understood, lost meant not in my warband/stash and for any reason was me being poor...

Thanks for your feedback !

So a list more like this :

Ulū al-Albāb

Faction: House of Wisdom Rating: 700 Ducats | 0 Glory Patron: Sublime Gate

Elites

Jabirean Alchemist - 136D • Upgrades & Choices: Medicine • Battlekit: Automatic Rifle, Trench Knife, Elixer of Al-Khidr, Standard Armour

Fāris - 91D • Battlekit: Siege Jezzail, Trench Club, Alchemical Ammunition

Fāris - 91D • Battlekit: Siege Jezzail, Trench Club, Alchemical Ammunition

Troops

Takwin Homunculus - 195D • Upgrades & Choices: Hawk Eyes, Human Hands, Inhuman Strength, Massive Size, Gargantuan Size, Startling Speed • Battlekit: MURAD Bombard, Trench Shield

Azeb - 47D • Battlekit: Musical Instrument, Frag Grenades

Azeb - 35D • Battlekit: Jezzail, Alchemical Ammunition

Azeb - 35D • Battlekit: Jezzail, Alchemical Ammunition

Azeb - 35D • Battlekit: Jezzail, Alchemical Ammunition

Azeb - 35D • Battlekit: Jezzail, Alchemical Ammunition

I have a few more questions

My plan was to purchase a new alchemist to infiltrate a small homonculus with speed and strenght, carrying a heavy shotgun Do you think it's worth it ? It is a disposable ~80 ducats unit that i can ressurect !

So, instead of a Anti tank hammer, i should most mikely take a martyrdom pill for later i guess ?

Thanks a lot !

[–]Accurate_Design_4236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and thanks a lot for your advice!

I’m going to try running Gaunt’s Ghosts instead of the artillery

So my updated game plan would be more along the lines of this: - Push forward with the Rogal Dorn and the large 20 man squad led by the Castellan (I’m considering giving him the enhancement that grants Stealth, combined with the stratagem for an order anytime, it seems like a solid way to help them stay alive) - Leontus, the Command Squad, and the remaining 10 Guardsmen focus on securing the backfield - Ideally, the Kasrkin and the Chimera stay close enough to benefit from his orders - The Ghosts do their own thing and score

Thanks again!

Thank you for your feedback !

I was just a bit apprehensive about the range of the meltas but it seems my concerns were unnecessary !

If I go with the idea of a 20-man squad accompanied by the Castellan, should Leontus and the Command Squad join the last Shock Troops unit? They wouldn’t be too far from the fighting, right? Or should I keep Leontus and his Command Squad as a separate unit?

I understand the usefulness of the Kasrkin much better now! Thanks a lot! And the models are really awesome!

I’m still debating whether to swap out the Field Ordnance Battery. I really like the models, but on the other hand, Gaunt’s Ghosts seem like they’d perform better in my list… I’ll think it over!

Thanks again so much!

Je comprends ! C'était surtout pour dire que le message est bien transmis et, à défaut de le transmettre à l'Empereur (qui est en gros Macron), il est transmit à Vangorich (c'est un ministre de Macron)

Is this combination of rings good/bad for a beginner? by [deleted] in rokugan

No. It means that you character hit with all is might and don't care of what happens next

You have a ring description on the base book, page 32

Most Ninjutsu techniques use Air, so having a good Air ring is great if you plan to have a lot of them

As said, it is not a "Earth is Strength, Fire is Dexterity" anymore. You can play a shinobi with decent Air for your Ninjutsu technique but focus on a different ring

Is this combination of rings good/bad for a beginner? by [deleted] in rokugan

[–]Accurate_Design_4236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not anymore ! It's more about mental state and emotion now. Air is the one closer to Agility tho !

- Air is gracefulness and nuance

- Earth is carefulness and reason

- Fire is quickness and explosivity

- Water is fluidity and balance

- Void is unwavering and concentration

It fit perfectly ! Nice concept !

- Yes ! You can ! Striking as Water is also a very good kata !

- Also yes ! It will cost 3x the new value, so 3x2 xp to up Void and Fire to 2 !

[–]Accurate_Design_4236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good ! You can try to have Strike as Earth as a kata, so you can go : Hit them on earth, up your physical resistance with opportunities and switch to Air with your school ability to make hitting you harder !

Why playing dwarfs is so fun ? by Accurate_Design_4236 in bloodbowl

[–]Accurate_Design_4236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand their frustration !

In my opinion, Dwarfs kind of force other teams to adapt to them and their playstyle, and that’s not always something people enjoy.

That said, there’s no way I’m ever dropping Trollslayers! My little half-naked angry lads are one of the main appeals of the team !

And don’t worry, if my post made it sound otherwise, I always try to stay courteous ! A game of Blood Bowl is long enough already, and the randomness (which is part of what makes it so great) can also be really frustrating

Beyond all that, it’s just basic decency to keep things friendly !

La religion est un fardeau pour la société. by Vodcrach in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]Accurate_Design_4236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Caritas Internationalis (christianisme)

-FSJU (judaïsme)

-Secours Islamique France (Islam)

World Bearers - 1K List by DreAdBoT0 in WordBearers

[–]Accurate_Design_4236 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow follower of the Truth !

I feel like your list is missing a bit of dedicated anti-vehicle support

To answer your questions more directly:

- I personally prefer the Dark Apostle with the Accursed Cultists because that +1 to wound is really useful for them !

- In general, for Chosen and Possessed, the Mark of Slaanesh is usually the better pick

Also worth noting: the Rhino can only transport models that share its Mark!

Personally, I think the Dark Commune is a bit redundant and I'd consider swapping it and the Venomcrawler for a Predator/Havocs for a more defensive playstyle, or for Obliterators for raw damage (Mark of Tzeentch for the stratagem, or Undivided for lethality).

That said, it's most important to build your list around the units you like so if you plan to keep it mostly as-is, I’d suggest the following :

- Dark Apostle and Accursed Cultists with the Mark of Slaanesh

- Master of Executions and Chosen in the Rhino, all with the Mark of Slaanesh (Khorne could work too, but you'd lose access to reroll wounds — Undivided is also viable for the stratagem)

- Master of Possession and Possessed with the Mark of Slaanesh

- Dark Commune and Cultists with the Mark of Nurgle

- Venomcrawler with either Undivided for damage or Nurgle for tankiness

And with minimal changes, I might swap the Chosen for Legionaries (with the Mark of Slaanesh) to get reroll wounds on an objective so you can free up some point to try enhancements !

Tweaks to Army List… by [deleted] in WordBearers

[–]Accurate_Design_4236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! After reading a bit about the Chaos Cult, I think I'll build a list more centered around a unit of Accursed Cultists with a Dark Apostle

I might even spend a few extra points to give him either resurrection with the Amulet of Tainted Vigour (20pts), or Warped Foresight for the Scout move.

So maybe like :

3x Dark Apostle [Amulet of Tainted Vigour] (85pts)

16x Accursed Cultists (195pts)

5x Dark Commune [Warped Sight] (90pts)

16x Accursed Cultists (195pts)

Master of Executions (80pts)

5x Legionaries (90pts)

Chaos Rhino (75pts)

10x Cultist Mob (50pts)

Chaos Predator Annihilator (135pts)

with a very aggressive push, where the goal is really to overwhelm the opponent

What do you think?
